Lots of my guests were taking toilet paper home or using scads for a couple night stay. I switched to cheaper toilet paper and now it stays put. I thought people were still in hoarding TP mode. 🙂 Great tips. I need to go put my paper towels under the sink. I also have a welcome sign and on it it says I supply enough pantry items to get started please bring or buy any extras that you want.

We shop for non toxic cleaner at The Largest Wellness store in N America. The laundry products are amazing and everything comes clean and bright! We are thrilled with all of the products!
Its called Melaleuca the Wellness Company. They also have an amazing stain remover and great anti wrinkle spray! We have been shopping as customers for 4 years and are really impressed.
We stayed at an Airbnb in December (Orlando) -one bath towel per person and zero wash cloths. No pillow cases for extra pillows. One roll tp per toilet, one trash bag per trash can, and one dishwasher tablet and one laundry detergent (and it was our responsibility to take out trash, strip beds and put in laundry room and start laundry and run dishwasher). The “no stick” skillets were scratched/scraped up and in very bad shape - I wouldn’t use them, I resorted to use the Dutch oven to make eggs. Stayed in another airbnb (in same neighborhood) in February, host was so much better and more generous with supplies, but still only one towel per person and no pool towels provided (and warned not to take bath towels to resort pool).
Definitely yes on the dark towels. I have often coloured my hair and then gone on holiday and all the towels are white and I'm like, oh, no. I've literally bought a black towel before so I don't ruin an air bnb
We rented a cabin with a glass dining table and there wasn't any glass cleaner. The table wasn't really clean the whole week. A little bit of thoughtfulness would have been appreciated. That said we are now looking to purchase a cabin for STR and we are planning to supply the little things that make the stay more pleasant.
Hi Angela my question is how long should it a 4 lady’s to clean an Airbnb house should I put 2 ladies on the upper floor and the other two in the bottom floor Thank you Tania😊
The time it takes for four ladies to clean an Airbnb house can vary depending on various factors such as the size of the house, the level of cleanliness required, and the specific tasks involved. However, assigning two ladies to the upper floor and the other two to the bottom floor can be a practical approach to divide the workload efficiently. This way, they can work simultaneously and cover more ground in less time. It's a good idea to establish a cleaning checklist and prioritize tasks based on their importance and the areas that require the most attention. By working together effectively and coordinating their efforts, the team should be able to complete the cleaning process more efficiently. Remember to consider the specific details of your Airbnb house and adjust the time estimate accordingly. Hope this helps.
An AirBNB is generally referred to as a partial. This is someone renting out a room of their home, or a private studio apartment over a garage, or a mother-in-law suite and often the family is also dwelling at the place. An apartment or small hotel is referred to as a short-term rental also known as STR. The short-term rental goes on for a few weeks to a few months. And a short rental of a full home or property is often referred to as a VRBO which stands for Vacation Rental By Owner. 😍
A 3 month rental (STR or BNB) could be interchangable. The biggest difference is that if it is billed as a BNB, it may include restockable items such as coffee, towels, soap etc. With a short term rental it's more you're renting a place for a couple of months and you're on your own to buy toilet paper, towels, laundry and dish soap etc.
Hi, i have a question in regards to cleaning and supplies short term rentals, etc. Do you recommend after each guest to replace the shower liner on the inside?
No. It is not the same as changing the bed linens that somebody slept on all night. A shower curtain is designed to hang in a shower with little if any physical contact. (Usually the edge where people pull it open or closed is all that gets touched.) Think of a hotel - they wash the shower curtains on a maintenance cleaning schedule but they do not replace them between each guest.
@@AskAngelaBrown I actually like the hotel shower curtains that are cloth that unsnap so you can replace it and wash the dirty one. I don't have an Airbnb yet, I'm on RUclips to do research first. However I was thinking about doing a hotel type shower curtain in my own house where my son messes up his shower curtain quite often He's only 10 He likes the bathtub paint. LOL 😂 The plasticity kind just doesn't do it for me any more. I was thinking if I can't find one online I can make my own since I know how to sew and I have a sewing machine. 😁
@@lissam8988 I got washable fabric shower curtains for $12 ish at Walmart I think - they might have been called shower curtain liners. They were white water resistant fabric with grommets for rings
Do you have to put white towels can they be a light gray or a light color I just don't like white all the time maybe I want to change things up every now and then? Also like you said white you can see the dirt so much easily.
The white is to show the guests that they are using clean towels. With colored towels it's easierr to hide dirt and stains. You can as the host choose any color of towels you wish. There are no towel police that write tickets for colored cloths.
Great information! Thank you. I will put my home at Airbnb in the summer for the first time. But I'm in Houston and having trouble finding a reliable cleaning service. Any suggestions?
Hi Sheila, great question. The first secret is to wash them in laundry mesh bags, here is a paid link amzn.to/3rbt1Mn so you can see what they look like. The mesh bags allow you to wash them with regular laundry and the mesh bags will prevent them from picking up lint from other clothes. The key is to wash them with like colored items - and preferably with mild laundry soap.
Yes. Keep a spare in the closet. If they don't need them, they won't use them. But if they spill something on the linens, they don't want to wait to go to bed for two hours while their linens wash and dry. Create the best user experience by having what the guest needs on hand. An extra set of linens is $30-$45 and will save hours of wasted time (for anyone) in waiting around for the laundry cycles to complete.
Is there no legal issues with leaving alcohol? Especially if it’s for sale? I know leaving one or two beer wouldn’t put you over the limit, but what if they had a few before hand (still under the limit) then drank what you provided and got in a car accident? It could be possible for them to argue the ones left put them over the legal limit. Yes it’s unlikely, but couldn’t this be possible? I also disagree with leaving alcohol for the sober reasoning she mentioned
Providing alcohol may raise concerns about responsibility, especially in situations where guests consume it before driving. I would consult legal experts in your area to ensure a safe hosting approach
@@AskAngelaBrownThanks for the great videos. At our str, we have lice protectors on mattress and boxspring, as well as a mattress protector on the mattress.
I use at least 3 washcloths per day. I prefer two in the shower in the morning and one to wash my face in the evening. This is minimum. So maybe round up to four to be safe for whatever else comes up. I never understood why hotels are so stingy with the washcloths. They are so useful and don’t take up much room in the washer.😊. Are they high-theft items? Never needed or thought of two towels though. They take up so much more space in the washer. Since they dry what has just been cleaned, they are reusable for a couple of days, provided they are hung to dry in a timely manner. (Not so with washcloths. Once used, they’re dirty.)However, my hair is thin and usually short, so it has never really needed its own towel. I can dry my body and then wrap my head with the same towel. Everyone has different preferences I suppose. But whenever I check in anywhere, my first mission is to secure enough washcloths. I even pack some sometimes. I like your videos. Very well done😊. To be safe, I like the 2 towels per person thing, but I’d also say 4 washcloths per person per day. Just me.

For a 1 night stay, we leave 2 rolls of medium grade t.p. on the roll holder. The "orphan" partial rolls are in a basket in the cabinet in t he b.r. sink. There is also a roll in the storage closet. That should be plenty for 2 people. I started with Costco paper towels, then went to the store brand, one roll on holder, partial roll up in cabinet if they need them. We normally keep some thick and thin cleaning rags, think cheap microfiber and nice sections of old towels cut into squares next to the cleaning supplies.
Hi I want to open a House Cleaning company. I have a lot of experience since I been doing it for more than 15 years, as a matter of fact I have clients that I’ve worked for years and have more clients I can do by myself. However there is 3 problems that are stopping me from opening my company. 1. I’m having a hard time finding someone to work for me, someone reliable, hardworking and above all trustworthy (the few people I offered the job, either want to make the same money as me or they want to offer their services to my clients on the side🤨 2. In order for me to pay my employee fairly I would need to raise the prices on the clients I already have 3. I’m afraid to lose all my clients because of raising the price or because some have already told me they wouldn’t feel comfortable with me bringing someone else to help me Any help in this 3 problems would be greatly appreciated.
