Apple still hasn't realized that jazz exists....either that, or they don't know what jazz is.
Yup, see also: Blues, Metal, Country etc
Get the free Numa player plug in… there are sounds in there that make making jazz a snap. Wish Apple themselves would do something…I’m at the point where most of my songs are made with AUV3 plug ins!
Jazz doesn’t know what jazz is, that’s what makes it jazz 😂
@@Snooze_Crewco_lofi I just had a Simpsons/Bill Cosby flashback 🤣”You see, the kids these days, they listen to the rap music, which gives them the brain damage. With the hippin' and the hoppin' and the bippin' and the boppin', they don't know what the jazz is all about. Y'see, jazz is like Jello pudding... no, that's not it. Jazz is like Kodak film... no, that's not right neither. I've got it, jazz is like the new Coke - it'll be around forever.”
Can I get these downloaded on logic as well?
This is why i follow the channel. The through review while the whole mix doesn't sound like robotic.
I appreciate you! Thanks for watching!
Patrick thanks for keeping us up on the latest from GB!
wow I have been loving these sound packs lately
Chromium Fray & Edges and Angles are my all time favourites
Agree with you on Anders. In fact he was my Drummer of choice when it came to my album ‘Walking Home’. Even used Anders with different kits to have a unique feel. 👍🏻
I love the idea of sound packs and have been using them in all my music, and the hiphop sounds can easily be EQ'd and edited to fit the variety of sounds used in most other genres, but I definitely agree that a dedicated sound pack for genres like indie rock, metal, or jazz sounds would be cool to see
8 bit too
@@AlexBamZ definitely! would really love a chiptune or “video game sounds” inspired sound pack
wonderful that you encourage folks to make their own opinion
I like the big dripper sound!!
Patrick! OMG! I'm grooving along, enjoying your video as always, but then you break out with a whole track full of the various Asian instruments and their various loops! And it sounded brilliant! 😱🦑 Bloody hell! Are you on, eg, Bandcamp, etc?
I have had good luck with Logan. I am no expert with the using the virtual drummers, (I usually use the SoCal virtual kit) but I was pleasantly surprised at well ‘he’ fit my track.
I agree about your opinion of Anders. Take it one step further by Duplicating his track into another Drummer Track and compress it hard. Then blend the two tracks for a huge sound.
Perhaps add reverb and a very small delay to the first track to sound like a really good room. This is called Parallel Compression, or NY Compression and works great on GB iOS without exporting to a mixer or adding in line gear.
Great tip!
For sure going to try this
Super awesome
Really inspiring
Alpha waves is so original, is my favorite pack.
Imshare your tastes in both sounds and music so your opinion is of great value for me. Thanks I’ve downloaded all of favs!
Excellent. I love the sames instruments. 👍🏻
You have excellent taste!
Thanks for this. how do I figure out which sound packs are used across my projects? Would like to delete some to clear some space but dont want it to cause issues with created projects
😂Had to laugh at your 'Sorry Kyle , he was my go drummer until finding funkmeister Curtis.
As someone who doesn’t use premade loops or Autodrummer, my personal favorites are the ones that add instruments /additional sounds!
Least favorite obviously then would be the remix packs…I’ve never used Live Loops in 3 years of using GarageBand lol
Same here!
Question: If I download drums from a 3rd-party, Will those sounds work with auto-drummer?
Example: If I program a beat with Anders on the heavy-kit, is it easy to then replace the heavy-drums with the downloaded ones?
You would need to convert the Drummer regions into MIDI beforehand, but yes.
@@TheGaragebandGuide nice … thank you! I’ll try that today. ☮️
DO they have anything in 3/4 or Country? It's been a problem with them for a while. Also, too much Hip Hop.
GarageBand has the same sample packs on iPad and iphone if you use same iOS?
They do yes.
@@TheGaragebandGuide same features knobs? thanks a lot for the Reply and Sorry for the question but i am a newby
What about "Bunny Hop" LOL!
I'd like a country pack and jazz
What's the best orchestral plugin for garageband on ipad please?
Try Audio Modelling's SWAM Orchestra. It's physical modeling, not samples.
Where did you get the Chinese hammerd dulcimer from (yang chin) ? as its not in garageband ..except for the erhu and guzheng
The Koto? It comes with the Japanese traditional sound pack.
@@TheGaragebandGuide i know the Koto is part of that pack but on the screen on garageband there was a picture of a Chinese hammered dulcimer (the koto is a japanese zither)
You're wrong. I mean you're not, I agree with you on most of these but I can't resist an easy invitation like that.
Your number 3 would be my number 2 and the drums are one of the big plusses of GB, along with Alchemy.
0:12 😂
Hello Patrick: I hate to sing the same old song, but When are they coming for Mac?
Peter
All of the packs currently released on iOS are also available on Mac (minus the live loop grids obviously.)
@@TheGaragebandGuide I guess I need to figure out how to find them ;)
@@petershadgett1879 You can sort all of the software instrument sounds via the library menu and all the loops from each pack via the loop browser. Maybe I should make a video on how it works on Mac?
That would be great!
FYI the GarageBand update with the 480 loops, etc for hip hop just showed up in my updates today (I have mine set so I have to approve any updates) …..I guess I just need to be patient …. Not that I am a Hip Hop fan by the way ….. Thanks for all your videos!Peter
Wow... Can you also show the Indian drumming instruments
What Indian Drum instruments?
@@TheGaragebandGuide like tabla, dholak etc...
@@augustinemallipudi2644 they’re not in GarageBand though?
@@TheGaragebandGuide oh God! Not even present in packs?
Sir my mac mic is working fine but when I record vocals in GarageBand it start cracking and also when I put musical typing can’t hear anything from it as well.
I hope you can help me out.
LMAO SORRY KYLE, I KNOW WHO KYLE IS!!!! ;D
WTF no love for the Mac?
What do you mean?
Now you know how we feel every time they release stuff for Mac only.
@@GaryR55Exactly! The fact that we IOS users can’t turn auto normalization off speaks volumes…pun intended
Annoying that brass hasn’t been added, especially with the amount of trumpet being used on pop & house songs these days. I know there is a brass keyboard but no individual instrument sounds. Also Sax 🎷!! WHERE IS THE SAX APPLE?!
There is nothing in this pack that is usable for what I do, acoustc, country, folk, and easy listening. It's always been a problem.
Which pack?
@@TheGaragebandGuide All of them that come with Garageband, even the new ones.
@@JoelBrothers what about the brush drum kit? was even that not useful to the sounds of your genres?
@@mon_nobi No. No 3/4 beats, and newer country songs don' t use brushes. They need just a good 3/4 beats for waltzes, and a straight 4/4 beats. No fancy stuff.
Sorry, only Hip-Hop crap
….what?
The New sounds
You Channel is top!
