    Sounds killer. I got mine. Replaces my v1. Its perfect into a cranked amp, works well when you have to be quiet at home. Its never coming off the board theres magic in your pedals thanks again

      hi, is v1 really worth replacing with the new version?

    • @billnelson5279
      @billnelson5279 5 месяцев назад +2

      @amitsharabi2329 I think it is. Even if you don't care about the form factor or new pedal board friendly layout (which is super helpful and it's about half the size) I think the new dip switches voicing really let you dial in to your rig and get closer to the sound in your head. I was only going to buy it because I like Jesse's stuff but it turned out every setting was really usable for me and helped me get closer to what I'm looking for.

      How does it do into a clean amp at low volumes for home playing? Does it only work well with a cranked amp?

    • @billnelson5279
      @billnelson5279 4 месяца назад

      @joeschmidhofer2674 it does both. Cranked amps always sound better to me, but if you have to be quiet at home it'll color a small fender type amp well just crank the drive knob

    Great Tones! Can’t wait to hear it with Humbuckers. Been leaning towards the Tweed side of things lately, but love how this pedal mimics an overdriven Blackface amp. Impressive.
    We all need to be able to control volume. This pedal allows you to still have excellent Tone.
    The amount of control to fine tune your own sound makes this a real tool, rather than just a one trick pony.

    Kingtone's pedals are first choice. One disadvantage of this design is that dust will settle along the knobs.

    • @jessetwohands
      @jessetwohands  5 месяцев назад +3

      Hey! Love the comments. The knobs can easily be removed if you ever need to clean it. We’ve been testing the design for around 2 years and not seen an issue so far.

    This is a great pedal.
    What settings do you recommend?

    • @jessetwohands
      @jessetwohands  3 месяца назад +1

      I often use it with a slightly broken up amp, then set the blues power with almost no treble, this gives a really fat lead tone. It’s also great with clean amps, you can use more treble to get the amp like tones.

    This just ain't fair Jesse, just this last month I bought the rise v2 and the latest duellist 😂 there's still a good reason to want this aswell though 😢😅 you're going to bankrupt me! Would you ever use the rise with the duellist yourself and do you have any approximate suggestions to try please dude? I'm still playing around and it's endless opportunities! Love what you do and thanks for responding to recent questions, it's great when a builder answers you. Peace man ✌️👍 hats off to you for another great v2 ❤

    • @jessetwohands
      @jessetwohands  5 месяцев назад +2

      Haha I’m sorry :) so pleased you’re liking the pedals! Yeah I often use the RISE with the Duellist. I place the RISE before the Duellist, then set the RISE for a fuzz like tone. I can then used the guitars volume to give me glassy clean drive type tones, roll the guitars volume up for the fuss/drive tones. It’s great if you want to build a solo and want the smooth range of tones.

      @@jessetwohandsthanks ever so much for responding Jesse, it's appreciated! You suggested exactly how I've been using it tonight just now 😂 sounds great though doesn't it 👍 I've actually had guitar volume down to about 5, even 4 since I've had these to get extra glassiness.. Its the lowest I've ever had the volume pot on a Strat and it still sound good anyway. Who would have thought it! Cheers dude, hope you're well ❤

      @@jessetwohandsI forgot to ask you (sorry for this).. I recently got a kingtone srv switch also and it's always seemed a little tight to turn. Now the tone knob is just spinning around it so I had to take it off and twist the bare metal. Can I use wd40 to make it easier to turn or is that a silly idea 😂 or is there just a fault with my switch? Cheers if you can help again man ✌️

  • @jazroc56
    @jazroc56 5 месяцев назад +1

    So the "Cranked,Kingtone, and Punch" dip switches are OFF with their respective switches pushed down in the off position, but the "scooped" switch says ON in the opposite direction. I'm confused here,. Is this just saying that the stock settings are OFF for Cranked,Kingtone, and Punch, and ON for Scooped? or is the ON position for the "Scooped" switch actually reversed? I hope
    my question makes sense LOL

    • @jessetwohands
      @jessetwohands  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! Yes the scooped setting is reversed. Because of the way it electronically interacts with the circuit, that dip needed be reverse.

    Jesse, you been so kind answering my recent comments ❤ but I really need advice on my kingtone switch please? It's always seemed stiff, is about 2 months old srv model and yesterday my tone knob was spinning, wouldn't grip the switch. So now removed knob and using fingers to turn metal part of switch! It's really really hard to turn.. Can I use a bit of wd40 or is that a silly idea? 😂 Any tips we'll appreciated mate. Maybe it's just a one off faulty switch? Bought it from peach guitars here in UK anyway. Thankyou if you can help me out 🙏

    I have a question that’s not about the video topic. Since a lot of your pedals are vintage inspired germanium pedals I have a question about that. I heard that a wireless system does work well with germanium pedals, is that true with your pedals.

    • @jessetwohands
      @jessetwohands  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey! A fuzz or treble booster type pedal whether germanium or silicon benefits from being directly connected to the guitars pickups. If you use a wireless system it breaks the connection and you loose a lot of the tonal benefits. This is partially true with overdrive pedals too. In my opinion, If you’re serious about tone it is best to avoid a wireless system unless absolutely necessary.
