The Mini hatch is a solidly made car. I had a Cooper S, the interior was fantastic. Very premium materials, no creaks or rattles. Smooth relaxing drive with no engine sounds though. Im just waiting for electric cars to have a different power source before I buy one. I don’t wish for a car to dictate my lifestyle.
I drove this thing a couple days ago and for a FWD car its surprisingly quick and handles great. The traction control is also way better than all the other electric cars I tried where they would start slipping and then immediately cut off most of the power. I also liked that the regenerative braking made the car come to a complete stop, that is definitely not something you can take for granted, most of the electric cars I tried force you to use the brake pedal to go lower than 5-10 kph. Edit: I did not like the HUD tho, even when I adjusted the seat all the way down I was still too tall and couldn't see anything on it unless I ducked. Is there maybe some way to adjust the HUD that I didn't notice? Also the top speed seems to be limited to 150kph and I didn't find a way to disable that. They Hyundai Kona Electic that I drove had 50 horsepower less than this and did 180 kph before hitting the limiter
Thanks. Congratulations with the new car. Unfortunately I closed down the shop with the little dog. It was just a trial and the delivery times were too unpredictable
I’m lucky enough to have the new shape Mazda MX5. I will be looking to upgrade to electric when I retire, not long 😢! The mini electric looks perfect for me. It’s size, handling, looks, all good. Time seems to be a big factor in many people’s lives these days and parking assist is a feature that is clever, but just not for me. The very fact that the car is small, like my MX5, parking assist is just not needed. I can park quickly with manual parking. Simple really, just don’t choose that option. (I wonder how parking assist would fare in a busy supermarket car park).
Johan De Haes in Germany everyone is testing trim XL with all extras. So they definitely have it. Because of your video I was now able to test it for myself. It’s a pity that you have to accelerate and brake for yourself and that it doesn’t seem to work for diagonal parking spaces. But still cool :)
@@JohanDeHaes Thanks! Ours comes in Wednesday we can't wait. Looks exactly the same as the one in this video. Do you know if the Parking Assist comes as standard with the model?
@@carlosmartin9941 Congratulations with the new car 😎! I'm sure you will be pleased with it. I don't know if the Parking Assist comes as standard, sorry
It the rolling and wind noise is similar to other cars, it's just very pronounced in this video cause there is no engine sound. There are definitely electric cars with worse tyre and wind noise (Renault Zoe being the worst offender in that regard)
Check out my NIGHT POV test drive video with this car: proefritten.be/en/night-pov-driving-video-of-a-test-drive-with-the-mini-cooper-se-electric/
Engine sounds will be missed, but sometimes, a quiet cabin is beneficial
First time I've seen a mini electric in real life is looks lovely
finally a guy who likes trains
and plays roblox
I do love trains buses and elevators and I play roblox your a good person

the absence of engine sound is restful, so sweet

You can adjust the HUD on the settings in the display. Though I was a bit bummed when I learned that it has a limiter.
Great video thank you, I get mine delivered on Thursday. I love the little dog on the dash, I clicked on your link its not working here in the UK.

How can it be that you are the only RUclipsr showing the parking assistant. Is this really that common these days?
I think it’s optional. I would think it’s a quite common option

@@G0bus I think my mom's 2013 Ford Focus had the auto-park assist. So it's really not that new, although I am sure it works a lot better on new cars!
very nice city
Is that the 2020 model? Mini Cooper SE 2020?
Yes it's from 2020

i like it , but that circle is like washing machine 😂
you cannot have a new Mini without a circle!
Why indicate no ones around
Nice video, but don't be fooled by the German metrics; 135 kW = 184 PS = 181 HP
those aren't German, kW is what's used for electric motors i think!
@@mach1nefan"kW" is used for all kind of motors
Awe, it least its a mini, miss the sound of the engine,,
Praticamente una lavatrice sulle ruote, chissà se ha anche il programma di asciugatura rapida... tristezza
young ? like to drive in the mid lane ...no experience young driver i supose
I don't get the point of the hood scoop on a EV. Non-functional.
It's non functional on all new minis nowadays, just for style
Bro that car is way too noisy!!
The sound of the rolling tyres is too loud!
Bad car
How dare you say that I hate you

@Marius Ipad It's to select the gear. Futue te Ipsum.
no, no, no, no and....nooooooo
such a bad car to be offered in electric form. The NVH is horrible.
