You don't have to be playing paganini concertos at the age of 7 to enjoy violin and so many people forget that (including myself, who's also not a prodigy)! Coming from someone who's been playing violin for almost eight years now, your commitment is admirable! It takes a lot of dedication to continue something for a long time
Great to finally see a non-prodigy video! You are doing good. One needs to keep in mind that being on stage means you show much less than you are able to play at home. Keep it going! Nice to have a reference of real life. Playing 12 years now but with a huge break in between. Would rate myself a bit below your playing.
I don´t know why, but i’m just really happy to see this video, to see someone who is not perfect, but wants to be… well, at real, nobody is perfect and if you someday want to be it, you’ll never. Keep going, be happy with this beautiful instrument, its unique, and i hope you grow so much one day that you’ll be proud of yourself❤ (sorry for the bad english😅)
I like going back and listening to what I used to sound like. It inspires me to continue getting better. I have only been playing for four years and you really can tell the difference.
This was pretty cool, I played the Bach double with a friend of mine very recently with an orchestra accompaniment and it was a fantastic experience. Moments I will never forget.
This was really nice to see. I started playing when I was ten and it’s been five years since. I’ve always been above average in how quickly I progress, but never anything crazy, while my teacher has students much younger than me that’ve progressed so quickly they’ve surpassed me in half the time. I’ve started to grow more confident in my playing but just now after all my spring concerts I’ve felt very discouraged and like I’m so far behind. You’re playing feels a bit similar to my own, and I’m glad to see a different great violinist other than the usual five year old ones in my recommended!
I started trumpet in 5th grade, and im bouta be in 7th grade in 4 months. I can already play high school stuff, and I get so much praise from my band teachers and my classmates. Im planning to be a musician one day. Btw im your 100 sub
The guy isverh good!!! Music is life, music is lovd. Now I listened carefully and realized the great talent in every note. Congratulations to the teacher who guided you since a little boy ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Now i am 35 and I started playing violin couple of years ago. Hopefully down the line by the time I reach 40 at least i can accompany in church . And by 50 I dream to perform in at least few orchestra..
As someone who played as a kid and soft retired (forced so not a sad moment) I found church music to generally be easier than the Suzuki stuff and prolly worth trying now. Most churches I've seen want the congregation singing and so pick easier pieces for people to sing, which usually translates into pieces that don't have huge pitch changes, aren't super fast, etc. On top of the obvious Christmas stuff like the first noel, I'd recommend Ave Maria as an early goal (found it got played very often in small/special masses like weddings or funerals) and meditation as a long term goal (may be short, not sure where you stand right now) Good Luck!
Ive been playing for 2 years now, cant wait to get better in the future. im playing bruch violin concerto rn, also concertmaster for my orchestra so ill be playing the bach double soon 😊😊😊
Congrats!! Glad to see a violinist like myself and many of my Music Trade School Classmates, with a great progress. I'm 9 years into playing, barely played Mozart 3 first movement with Franko's Cadenza (tbh is a very easy cadenza but with impressive effects, I think you can get to play it by now) as my final exam and just graduated. Wish you luck in your music journey and lots of opportunities on your way!
This is awesome, finally something i can relate to. I was beginning to worry that my progression was slow compared to the norm. 10 years on the violin as well and im around this level.
Ur really good! I like how you don’t move that much during performances, it kinda reminds me of myself lol. Congrats on the award and good luck for the future!
Though I am a pianist, I thought this was impressive. I started late at thirteen so I see similarities between my story and this story. Also I like the Choice of Bach. Bach, Beethoven, and Scriabin are my favorites. Prokofiev too for his piano concerto op 16. Good job!!
Hello! I'm glad I found your channel! cool video! I started learning to play the violin at 15 ahahaha! I'm 20 years old now, so I'm only halfway through your journey
I also wanted to name my video (non prodigy) but I don’t have that right because I only started playing at the age of 15 and not as a child haha! Thank you very much for posting this video. It took a lot of effort to keep going for such a long time. Well done! Аt 5:17 is my favorite duet!
wow that means a lot that you showed it to someone. didn’t expect this vid to go anywhere but to my mom tbh 😂 thanks and hopefully it inspires someone to do better than me lol !
Muito bom, quebrando a barreira de que todos pensam que temos que ser melhor que todos, e acabamos esquecendo de nos respeitar e aproveitar nosso próprio desenvolvimento ❤ o belo é darmos nosso melhor e viver os momentos
Bro ima Lowkey have to make one once I can get the Tchaikovsky violin concerto 3rd movement down. I started playing at 11 and I’m 16 now. Once I graduate high school ima for sure make a progress video.
There's no need to be a prodigy to enjoy and share music.. and still have space to enjoy other aspects of life.. You seem to be on the right track 😊 Bach double played well
You are still very young. Keep practicing. By the time you are 24 you can say that you have been playing for ten years. Time will fly very fast, do what you love
I started at 13 now I’m in regional orchestra, principal viola of my school, and I play in a philharmonic youth orchestra. You just need to put in the work and have a good teacher
nice vid bro, i started playing the bach double when i was on my 4th year on the violin, but ur still really good ! keep it up, and continue to get better !!
thanks, i learned bach double my fourth year too, i could play mendelssohn but there weren’t a lot of duets i could choose from and i wanted to play something easier cuz i didn’t wanna practice last semester of highschool
through middle school, i was considering it because I was pretty good but in highschool, i stopped practicing as much and my improvement slowed down a lot since i stopped taking lessons after 8th grade.
You have potencial. some Parts are bit out of tune but not huge problem. You have also to improve your Sound playing near of the Bridge and with all your bow.

@@Dean_Ji yes, I did play in all state! This really is a small world
Talent,genius,prodigy... those are just meaningless words.
*Interest* and *discipline* is what matters.
I wish you good luck ❤.
Nice! We don’t have to be geniuses, we can just be players. Congrats on your award though,
That’s a bonus

Absolutely! I do it too and sometimes it felt that it has been a long time. I have played for about 6yrs now

Особливо сподобався дуэт Violine & Viola "Щедрик" композитора Леонтовича. Дякую!

tbh 7 is still very young to learn the violin (at least to me) I'm 14 and I just started learning the violin idk if I can ever be good
U def can, just practice cuz i know a lot of people that started playing in middle school and they got pretty good

Did you major in violin
through middle school, i was considering it because I was pretty good but in highschool, i stopped practicing as much and my improvement slowed down a lot since i stopped taking lessons after 8th grade.
Im violinista, i recomienda you be more musically and Play more confident
You have potencial. some Parts are bit out of tune but not huge problem. You have also to improve your Sound playing near of the Bridge and with all your bow.
Also your Right hand its a bit rigid, you have to calm It more to give the bow more freedom
