  • We got a chance to take the Toyota 4runner trd off road out to the Spider Lake trails in Pine River Mn! We had an awesome day cruising around the Spider Lake off road trails, the Spider Lake trails are not real technical or difficult but provide alot of fun and run through an awesome forest in Northern Minnesota. The area is dotted with camp sites and there is also many areas for dispersed camping near the Chippewa National forest, and the Foot hills state forest. There are many area lakes that provide stunning views and excellent fishing/ recreation opportunities.
The 2018 Toyota 4Runner performed flawlessly and really any stock suv with a little ground clearance could have a lot of fun playing around in the Spider Lake off road trails!

Nice video!! ORV sticker required even if MN resident? On DNR website it says don't forget your pass if you're NOT MN resident. Thanks

That does look fun. I just have a stock 03 Limited V8. Would have to put some different tires on it though.

Don't sell it short. You should have the rear locker with that Limited. And as you say some decent tires like the KO2's and you are doing all that and more.

Hi. New to the truck scene here in MN. Do you have to have an ORV endorsement/sticker to drive at Spider Lake? I couldn't read what was in your rear plate or rear window.
Also do they have a beginner section or trails with different ratings?
I want to go, don't mind getting dirty but don't want to scrape up the new truck in the trails from sticks and branches. Most spots ok?

Yes you need an ORV sticker on the truck, I put mine in the wrong place, that is why you don't see it on the windshield. The trails are all pretty much beginner trails and are not to bad as far as pinstriping, Its a fun time but there is nothing to challenging out there, its the perfect place to get your feet wet on the whole off roading thing

@@RiverRatsTotalOutdoors thank you for a quick reply. I enjoy your videos. Just found them.
3 year sticker looks like $28.50, and its supposed to go on the upper left of your license plate I think the pamphlet said. I don't even have a license plate yet, just a temporary yellow tag. Once I do I plan to hit Spider Lake up. Bought a new Ranger FX4.

@@cmccane Yep there is also one that goes on the upper left corner of your windshield you will get when you go to Gilbert, that is the one that is in the wrong spot on my 4runner, Good luck with the Ranger, they look like a good little truck, I might take a harder look at them this winter, I love the 4runner but would love to have a truck bed again.

    How long is this trail?

There is a system of trails that are like 20 or 25 miles plus a ton of forest service roads to explore
