HEY THERE BOY! THANKS FOR THE LAUGHS!! I'm 63 and you wouldn't catch me dead or alive on any of those slides! But I sure had a ball watching you fly down the slippery slopes! 😻😻💫💫🤣🤣🐼🐼😂😂🐨🐨🤪🤪😻😻😜😜🐼🐼😁😁🐨🐨🤩🤩👍👍💫💫💥💥
When I was younger, I definitely would slide down both!!! Since I have Fibromyalgia and I'm 65, no thanks!!! If I were to completely slide off, land on the ground like you did, I would be in a world of hurt and sore for at least a week or two 😞 It does look like a lot of fun though 💙💙💙 Thank you Jay for sharing and for filming the children!!! God bless you, keep you healthy and safe ❤️🙏❤️
Those slides look totally awesome! As a child of around 9 in 82, during the summer, my school put in a long, straight line, single person wave slide. Thanks to my friends mom, our first try on it was on wax paper. Trying to use your hands equaled metal burn and you went airborn on every bump. The worst part was they hadn't yet built the catch box at the end, so there was at least a 2 to 3 foot drop off. New slide, wax paper and big drop. What could go wrong? Your only hope was that your feet found the ground before your butt and that you were a really good down hill runner. Seeing you on those slides brought back that awesome memory. Being 50 in 20 days, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Will be waiting for the invitation to the next amazing adventure. Until then stay safe and God bless. Steve in Oklahoma
I grew up a few miles away from there and can attest to how nuts the old slides were. Bonus: there are still coke oven remnants all around the area, lots of good exploring to be had
Right up front...my answer is NO, I wouldn't because of the sound your side made when it hit coming down!!!! OUCH!!!! But gotta give YOU a pat-on-the-back for actually going down both slides multiple times. You definitely ARE adventurous.
I knew it was Mammoth! I haven't seen the new slides in person, but I have been down the original when I was a kid 30-ish years ago. And yes, with wax paper.
I would do them slides in a sec! For now, I'll live vicariously through you! Looks like so much FUN! Wishing you and your family a happy, merry Christmas & New Year!
I love it ! I would most definitely go down these slides ! I’m 57 so if I hit the ground like you did going down the right side, I would hurt for days 😂🤣 ! Just like the saying goes… The older you get, the harder you fall ! Looks like you had some fun, and you did make me smile 😁
" Ride at your own risk " ...😅..yep ! .. ..Looked like a hard landing . Glad you enjoyed it and wasn't hurt ( badly ) .. Can't imagine how hot it gets in the summer . ☀Thank you for sharing the fun 👍💙
Oh my goodness 😂that landing looked like it hurt a little bit! lol I'm glad you didn't get hurt too badly though besides the bump on your arm! I think I would give the left slide a try, not sure about the right slide, but there may be a possibility. lol The only slide I have been on that is anywhere near that kind of slide and is actually mild and no comparison to that at all, is the Giant Slide at our state fair.🤣 Also, there is some really interesting history with those slides! What a fun time! Great video, thank you JP! 💙
LMBO I'd get on both sides even at the age of 60, I've ridden slides at a water park in Paducah Kentucky that were super fun, unfortunately the water park closed for good in 1988, and everything was dismantled and hauled away, I remember that the slides were at least 100 feet in length
Great video that was awesome I would try that so cool nostalgia of it like a time capsule of how the slides used to be back in the day keep up the great work man
It looks like fun, but I’m not sure I would’ve ridden even in my younger days!! When I saw the thumbnail I thought you were going to ride you guys rode in Gatlinburg😂😂, now THAT was funny!!! 💖😂😂💙💖😂😂💙
Loved watching you do the slides! I could feel the fun you had, and I am sure I would have a very similar reaction. I am going to have to take a trip out to do them!
I thank you for the good laugh. I'm "49" and holding 😀 and still love slides and swings,, my only question,, did it hurt worse the day after,or the day after the second day 😂😂? It's nice to see someone staying young at heart. Keep on playing!!!
I'm glad you recovered quickly! I told my friends that will be our next adventure! I'm on the hunt for an existing seesaw, if you find one please share!
I saw the community post picture for this video so I was curious to watch tonight. Happy that you made it without injury. Once I passed forty I realized that my body wasn't as resilient as it once was 😄 Hats off to you for your bravery JPVideos
That looks fun!! We use to have a tall long slide at the daycare I worked for, Insurance made us stop using it after I had worked there 20 yrs😂 (I started in 1988) even tho No child ever got hurt on it!! If I can figure out how to post a picture of it, I will.
Haven't been to Mammoth Park in years. Didn't know the old slide was gone. It was like riding the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood. The double down will get ya! 💙
I grew up with (what we called) The Big Slide. I was sad to see it go, but it was fun watching you enjoy. Looks like they replaced it with two that rival the experience of the old slide. Can't wait to take the kiddos. Thanks for sharing!
That looks pretty fun!! Kinda a rough ride 😂 I actually live near Mammoth Lakes and there was a lot of mining here as well… for good ol California gold!
Cool video. If u ever venture into Thurmont Md theres a place called Rocky Ridge Park. They have a huge kinda enclosed wood slide thats really steep. One of my boys broke his finger coming down in his stocking feet lololol
Hello Jay that look terrifying fun years ago our local fair that we have here in our area once a year has slides like that but they were heavy duty plastic you go down on a burlap bag which I did as a child several times but the one that you went down I don't think I'd go on them until next time stay safe take care love from upstate New York❤😊
Wow! That is a fast slide, i think that side can definitely put some hurt on you. God idea it has curves to it, if it was just a straight slide all the way down, oh boy, that would hurt
I love watching your videos on The lifestyle in Pennsylvania the slides reminds me of a human bobsled.. ....jp your getting to old for all this fun stuff.....but we only live once ....how's the family?
😂 Oh, you're such a big kid Jason... I would have done it too, lol Been quite a few years since I've been on a slide even close to that big... The biggest I can compare it to is at... Peoria Illinois's, Wildlife Prairie Park... From a quick look online, It's only looks to be about 50', I think it's longer though. It's not curvy like that, it's straight, like the original you're talking about. There are several pictures of it online as well as videos of it out there, if you want to look for it yourself.
Hello JP that was something else wasn't it holy that looked so fun..I love the I'll ease into it and next minute it's so so fast 😂. Absolutely amazing I'd love to try it. Have an amazing week ahead
That looks like a lot of fun! We visit Pittsburgh regularly and we will definitely check this on our way out next time. Thanks so much for sharing this with us! Love your content by the way. Oh and I have been on the Alpine Slides somewhere in Pennsylvania when I was a kid.
Those slides look so fun although I think the old one looked way better as straight shot traditional metal slides are always the most epic. The modern ones look like everyone but toddlers are going to walk away with bruised hips from it.
What a fun video!!! I've been down the old Mammoth Park slides YEARS ago using wax paper😂 I'd love to try the new ones, I'm in my 60s, so it probably wouldn't go well. Love your channel.
That looks like fun, I'll have to try that sometime. We should get together and go down the Alpine slide at Seven Springs. It's been 30 years since I was on that one.
I was cracking up. The first one looks like a nightmare. It slams you into the wall in that last bit. Id take the second one that just dumps you on the ground at the end
Would you slide down these ones? I think the older slide seems safer, but this was certainly fun. If I made ya laugh, then I did my job 😁
I say, it looks like fun!!
Would I slide ? ...nope...I know I would end up on my face LOL..
I went down the alpine slide in Vernon Valley action park it was crazy sick. They closed it down years ago. It was dangerously fun.😂🤣🤣
Heck Ya I would go again and and again!😊
Yes I would it look fun

Thank you! Something new to try when we visit family in Grove City again. 🥳
It is always fun for me to watch you having fun. Thank you for this one. ❤
That was awesome. Me and the wife really enjoyed this video.
That's a nice place, I could totally feel your reactions on the slides.
Well done, you made our night! 😁 Thanks for always letting us come along with you on your adventures. 👍🏻
You look like you had a great time. Thanks for taking us along!!
I did!
I grew up a few miles away from there and can attest to how nuts the old slides were. Bonus: there are still coke oven remnants all around the area, lots of good exploring to be had
I would try this, both sides, it looks fun!
Mammoth Park has been there a long time great adventure great fun video thanks Jay

Thank you for including the child in your video❤
No problem 😊
I knew it was Mammoth! I haven't seen the new slides in person, but I have been down the original when I was a kid 30-ish years ago. And yes, with wax paper.
Ouch! Well done Jason, you are braver than me! Looks like fun though! Interesting history. 👍🤣😂❤️
I would do them slides in a sec! For now, I'll live vicariously through you! Looks like so much FUN! Wishing you and your family a happy, merry Christmas & New Year!

Thanks for the video awesome place
Hi Jay. Hope you are doing great. Awesome slides.
Awesome place! I'd love to slide down those! Couldn't nowadays the shape I'm in but I sure would've several years ago!👍
I haven’t been there since the new slide was built but the original side was a blast!can’t wait to try the new ones some day.
That was a fun video...thanks for taking us along...
Glad you enjoyed it
" Ride at your own risk " ...😅..yep ! .. ..Looked like a hard landing . Glad you enjoyed it and wasn't hurt ( badly ) .. Can't imagine how hot it gets in the summer . ☀Thank you for sharing the fun 👍💙
Soft foam material on the ground helped spared my hip from any bruises or pain. I'd do it again for sure.
@@JPVideos81 Glad for that ..I thought it was gravel LOL...that would really hurt !
Glad you made it out to my neck of PA .
Awesome video! Looks like a lot of fun! Geez I so miss being young !
WooHooo!!! Looks like a lot of FUN!! Yeah, I'd definitely go on that slide!😃 Thanks for sharing! Loved it!!💙💙💙
Oh my goodness 😂that landing looked like it hurt a little bit! lol I'm glad you didn't get hurt too badly though besides the bump on your arm! Thankfully the ground (landing zone) is a padded material which greatly helped.
I'm laughing so hard In crying😅😂 Glad you had fun!
Looks like fun!!! What's the pipe for between them?
LMBO I'd get on both sides even at the age of 60, I've ridden slides at a water park in Paducah Kentucky that were super fun, unfortunately the water park closed for good in 1988, and everything was dismantled and hauled away, I remember that the slides were at least 100 feet in length
Great video that was awesome I would try that so cool nostalgia of it like a time capsule of how the slides used to be back in the day keep up the great work man
Kirby Park had one big slide down by the pond back in the 1980s and 1990s
It looks like fun, but I’m not sure I would’ve ridden even in my younger days!! When I saw the thumbnail I thought you were going to ride you guys rode in Gatlinburg😂😂, now THAT was funny!!! 💖😂😂💙💖😂😂💙
Loved watching you do the slides! I could feel the fun you had, and I am sure I would have a very similar reaction. I am going to have to take a trip out to do them!
I recommend it, but go when it's a bit warmer out haha
JP, those slides look fun! Really enjoyed your video!
Bet you had fun. Looks like your hips got a beating in the turns. Thanks for sharing.
Thankfully I still have some cushion
looked good fun jp, adults can have fun as well 😀 you do take some good shots and good angles, nice one jp
Thanks. Having fun keeps me feeling young.
I thank you for the good laugh. I'm "49" and holding 😀 and still love slides and swings,, my only question,, did it hurt worse the day after,or the day after the second day 😂😂?
It's nice to see someone staying young at heart.
Keep on playing!!!
No pain the next day. Just temporary soreness for an hour.
I'm glad you recovered quickly! I told my friends that will be our next adventure!
I'm on the hunt for an existing seesaw, if you find one please share!
This was fun! I loved it thank you❤❤❤

That looks fun ! Might have to see how far I am from there. 😁
That one looks painful 8:04
that takes me back to my child hood. I loved going down them . Noah said he wants to go and race you 😂 . thanks for sharing . ❤❤❤ stay safe love ya
I bet he would love it.
Jp you look like you was having fun ❤
It was fun for sure
That looks fun!! We use to have a tall long slide at the daycare I worked for, Insurance made us stop using it after I had worked there 20 yrs😂 (I started in 1988) even tho No child ever got hurt on it!! If I can figure out how to post a picture of it, I will.
That looked like fun. I would go down it.❤
The slides look like a lawsuit to me . I Wonder how many get hurt a year on those . Entertaining content and good job !
We used to have an Alpine Slide at Song Mountain NY, I don't think its there anymore. I was there as a kid sometime in the 80's
Haven't been to Mammoth Park in years. Didn't know the old slide was gone. It was like riding the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood. The double down will get ya! 💙
Looked like a fun slide.
Hilarious!! Loved this one 😎

A little bit painful, but a heck of a lot of fun haha
That looks pretty fun!! Kinda a rough ride 😂 I actually live near Mammoth Lakes and there was a lot of mining here as well… for good ol California gold!
Would of been rougher if I went faster lol. It's a thrill for sure.
Cool video. If u ever venture into Thurmont Md theres a place called Rocky Ridge Park. They have a huge kinda enclosed wood slide thats really steep. One of my boys broke his finger coming down in his stocking feet lololol
Looks like fun for you; terrifying for me. Thanks for the video! Enjoyed it…..🌝

This video made my weekend 😂😂😂
This was hilarious JP. How did you like watching yourself?? They need to have something checking speed so people can see how fast they’re going 👍👍
I was laughing while editing the video
Wow! That is a fast slide, i think that side can definitely put some hurt on you. God idea it has curves to it, if it was just a straight slide all the way down, oh boy, that would hurt
Umm did your hips and back hurt after this I bet you got some nice bruises 😂, great job! 7:35 looks like fun, your drop wasnt as dramatic as the kids😅
Surprisingly not
Great video
Your stabilization really worked on the hand held shots. I wonder if the pipe in the middle has anything to do with monitoring the old mine?
It certainly did. It would of been impossible to watch without it.
Lol what a blast that was. So cool, if we get to that side of PA we will definitely check it out. I love my swings and slides. 🤗
Wish I had someone to race, but I still have an awesomely fun time.
😂wow that had to been a slide in a half 😂❤thank.goodness it was winter time and not summer that would be hot
I was just there a few hours ago!! Where is the 'scenic overlook'? I couldn't figure out where that was in relation to the slide's location
Keep your arms in and your head up!😮
If I did, I would certainly be injured. It's too fast!
I wasn't expecting that!😂
props to this man for sliding down
I love watching your videos on The lifestyle in Pennsylvania the slides reminds me of a human bobsled.. ....jp your getting to old for all this fun stuff.....but we only live once ....how's the family?
If you stop doing fun stuff, you start feeling old. We're all doing great.
@@JPVideos81 that's very true 👍 and that's good
You are braver than I am!😂😂😂 I was laughing so hard at you! It looks fun though😂😂😂
😁
Downtown Omaha, Nebraska has some not as long and they’re straight but they’re pretty cool

Absolutely amazing I'd love to try it.
Have an amazing week ahead
Took me by surprise for sure.
@JPVideos81 +Lol I bet mate..I wonder how fast you actually went had to be way more then 5km I didn't expect them to boost you like that.
slides inside salt mines in southern germany and switzerland......wowsers😲
That looks like a lot of fun! We visit Pittsburgh regularly and we will definitely check this on our way out next time. Thanks so much for sharing this with us! Love your content by the way. Oh and I have been on the Alpine Slides somewhere in Pennsylvania when I was a kid.
See You In the Emergency Room.😂 Hahaha😅
😁
Greatd video. Butt, how did you feel the next day?
A few Tylenol and I was good to go.
is there a mammoth caves near there?
As a kid, I woulda slid down face first.
But I gotta confess, it was really shocking when you landed on your hip.
I would be afraid, it seems really dangerous😂😅🙅♀️
Clark Griswold would love it
Little bit of non caloric cooking spray and he'd be good to go.
Just watched that movie 😄🎄
Those slides look so fun although I think the old one looked way better as straight shot traditional metal slides are always the most epic. The modern ones look like everyone but toddlers are going to walk away with bruised hips from it.
I agree. Straight shot seems safer on the shoulders and hips.
What a fun video!!! I've been down the old Mammoth Park slides YEARS ago using wax paper😂 I'd love to try the new ones, I'm in my 60s, so it probably wouldn't go well. Love your channel.
😁
😂 Jean's may have been better.
I think that last turn made it worse
This was a really funny video watching it was fun. Thanks JP. 😂
😁
A Great Video, Thanks
That looks like fun, I'll have to try that sometime. We should get together and go down the Alpine slide at Seven Springs. It's been 30 years since I was on that one.
I rode an alpine slide in the 80s at Montage mountain. They took it out after too many injuries. The steel mountain coasters are fun too.
Great Big Fun

I think it would be way safer if the end of it was a little bit longer and inclined upwards to slow people down before dropping them off the end.
I was cracking up. The first one looks like a nightmare. It slams you into the wall in that last bit. Id take the second one that just dumps you on the ground at the end
Good choice haha
Sure i would do it..looks fun
Im almost 50 and i would try those slides😅
I'm 61 and would totally go for it! You only live once!
you were in my backyard, and you didn't let me know...lol...good to see you around locally.
😊
Yeah I could definitely see that being a tailbone breaker lol! Enjoy the Vids man keep it up!
We used to use the wax paper trick all the time
The commentary is hilarious
Thanks for doing that! Now i don't have to 😂
😁
