After that, you’ll know if you need a shift stitch or not for it to line up and won’t need to measure it out anymore.

Hi, Did you notice that I left off the "m" when I asked if you made many of them? 😮 (fat fingers & no style) I'm making my guys (they are all guys, aren't they?) with Lucky Ball yarn (less $$$ than Honey Bunny) and a finer gage (4 med.) than bulky so he's a little smaller than yours, but still cute as a button I've only made one bunny so far, but I'm about to start on a second one right now.
