The F/A-18 Super Hornet is an advanced multirole fighter aircraft developed by Boeing for the United States Navy and Marine Corps. First introduced in the late 1990s, it is an improved version of the F/A-18 Hornet with a larger size, longer range, and a higher weapons payload.
The Super Hornet has two main variants: the F/A-18E (single-seat) and the F/A-18F (two-seat). It is designed to perform a variety of missions, including air-to-ground attack, air-to-air combat, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare.
