  • Voicing is a critical part of playing the saxophone to develop tone, better intonation, and altissimo. Neck overtones are a great starting exercise in developing voicing and altissimo on the saxophone.
    Dr. Scott Campbell is a saxophonist based in the DFW metroplex where he maintains a large private studio, performs regularly, and is adjunct professor of music at Southwestern Adventist University and Mountain View College.
    Dr. Campbell is a Vandoren Regional Artist and Conn-Selmer Endorsing Artist.

    Hi, what to do, if I try, but I cant do the second overtone? Where should my tongue be? Thank you. I know, super high, but...when I say "eee" it really doesnt work. Please, help.
