    I used the Deuter Aircontact Core 50 + 10 pack for men in my recent winter hiking tour with all the bulky stuff for outdoor sleeping, and I was able to pack and carry everything with ease. Here you have my report about the pack and its performance. #backpacking #backpacks #hiking

    I have 3 Deuters, and I love them all. Solid, robust, comfortable.

      My first is from 2003, Futura 38, they do not make it any longer, still in a perfect state. You are right as you describe them.

    Thank you, Having the backpack close to the body really decreases the weight felt. I will buy this.

      It was hard for me to accept that fact because I absolutely love ventilated design in Futura backs from Deuter and from some other brands. But it is indeed better to have the pack closer to the body. And sweating is inevitable in any case.

    Nice review, thank you. I learned a few things, good place for hanging sunglasses! One other feature is the water bottle pocket on the right hip, allowing easy access to the bottle without having to take off the pack. Just got my pack recently. My 4th big dueter. Loving the development.

      This tiny glasses attachment detail is very useful. I am just preparing for a testing tour with a new pack from Mammut and realize it is without it, pity. The bottle pockets are on both sides, just to know.

    Hello. Thank you for your review. I had bought mine several days ago but mine is the 70+10, the same blue color. Nice one. Enjoy it. 👍

    The new version (2024) also has a J-shaped front zipper opening... Great review

      Hi, the front access is not available in this pack, they give a wrong picture on their site. That access is only in the largest packs in this Core group. Thank you.

    Someone recommended this pack, as I have a 24/25-inch torso. I have owned Osprey Aethers, which can easily carry the 19 kg that I sometimes need to carry for my longer group hikes. You mentioned the thinner shoulder strap, it sounds like it would be uncomfortable to carry such a weight. Thank you for your genuine review and video.

      I did not use it with such a weight so cannot really say much. The hip belt is simply excellent for heavy weight, there is no doubt about this.

    Good video, excellent backpack, I love it, I'm torn between the Deuter aircontact core 50+10 or the Vaude Asymetric 42+8, I don't know which would be better quality and more comfortable, could someone help?

      Hi, Vaude Asymetric 42+8 looks like a great backpack, I know it from my local outdoor shop, but I have not used it and cannot say more. But I do know Deuter packs and I am sure you will hardly find anything more reliable.

      @mountainsforeverybody  6 месяцев назад

      Hi, I have discussed it in detail in comparison with the Core, the Ultra is far inferior to the Core series, please have a look here:

      @@mountainsforeverybody the lack of a bottom zipper sleeping bag compartment is a big plus to me as I hate those they are a useless feature to me adding weight and complexity and a possible water entry and failure point. I have never needed this feature in 30 years of camping. That's why a lot of modern Manufactures are removing them from packs now. Osprey and such just add them as a feature to sell them as a feature . In reality they are often too small for larger sleeping bags and when the pack is totally full can be hard to open and close

      @@antduke2361 Hi, I understand what you are saying, and we all have different preferences. I just came from a camp, I wanted to be in the tent for the equinox so I did it, and I had my Deuter Futura Vario 50+10 pack with a separate bottom compartment. I used it for my Crua sleeping bag (review available in my site) and it fit nicely, I do not use the compression suck, I just stuff the sleeping bag inside. It was convenient to have the separate compartment, the main compartment was occupied with a tent that was quite wet.
      This is also an extra access point to the main compartment, very convenient when you are in a wet or muddy area, or when it rains. You can get things from the bottom without taking out your stuff that is stored on the top. But the truth is you can manage without such an extra compartment and you are right.
