- One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson says “left-leaning Liberals” have “destroyed” the Liberal Party.
Ms Hanson said Prime Minister Scott Morrison has “turned to the left” by committing to net zero by 2050.
“I’m doing Scott Morrison’s job of getting rid of the left-leaning Liberals that have destroyed the conservative party, and they need to go,” she told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“We haven’t got many strong conservatives left in the Liberal Party.”

Now I understand Pauline's motivation for this action. She continues to be ahead of the curve and remains true to her convictions, in this case she has shown she holds all candidates accountable for their own platforms during an election and is not biased when selecting her preference recommendations.

We know that they represent a party platform and we have voted according to how close we align with the positions they take. There may be times that it is OK to challenge the party opinion, for example: on subjects that haven't been specified within these platforms, or when the party itself has disregarded its own stated values. But when they vote against stated party values that they have implied they agree with by representing their party then it is lying those people they represent, they are like enemy spies.
@@SV0747 I'd forgotten briefly about that, the major parties are all scared of disregarding the global alarmists (and I have no strong opinion about whether climate change is an existential crisis or not, I just believe that we all ought to go nuclear powered if we're really serious about reducing CO2 emissions, otherwise all the other ideas have their own ecological disasters associated with them). My point is, nothing they have put forward will stop CO2 emissions from increasing unless China and India reduce theirs, so it's all virtue signalling. They are too scared to say, "lets not bother, because it won't make a difference."

I have loved Pauline since the start of her career (I am a kiwi). She stands up for Australia 100% and tells the truth, what more could you want from a leader? I can remember back in the 90's having arguments with Singaporeans (where I worked at the time) about her Australian first immigration policy. They tried to call her racist etc and I was not having that. She wanted to stop the migrant flow and I pointed out how racist all the policies are in most Asian countries especially China, and its none of their or my business who Australia lets in, its totally up to the Australians alone to decide. Pisses me off how ignorant most people are on the basic fact that only the locals can decide immigration policy not bloody foreigners of any colour. As for the UN they can keep their nose out of any and all countries immigration policies.

I've taken a look at the Liberal how to vote cards in NSW electorates and they're prefrencing the Greens ahead of One Nation. In fact, One Nation are preferenced last in most (if not all seats). How on earth can they preference a party that wants an end to heavy industries and mining ahead of a party which fights to protect them. I don't blame Pauline - good on her!

Regardless of Pauline's motivation, it is a good thing for the LNP to find they can't just assume minor right-wind parties or candidates will automatically preference them. Because they have assumed they will, it has created a mentality where they simply ignore the conservative base thinking they'll pick up their vote either directly or indirectly. So they focus on trying to attract more 'marginal' voters toward the left.

I just voted today. I live in the federal seat of Hume, the seat held by the Minister of Energy and 'Emissions Reduction', Angus Taylor. 🙄 It was my great pleasure to put him 4th on the ballot after UAP, the Liberal Democrats and One Nation. It's the only way I have to protest this ruinous climate craziness.

if freedom of speech is your thing then vote lib dems first - they want to enshrine freedom of speech in the constitution. Put all freedom parties above the majors - libs, lab and greens last.

My parents are migrants from the middle east who looked for a better life here. I remember in primary school all those years ago, the media did its best to destroy Pauline reputation. When I speak to fellow millenials, I still see the effects of that. It's almost as if Pauline and One Nation are taboo. I support Pauline. She has integrity, conviction to speak her mind and more courage than any of the serpents currently in positions of power. God bless Pauline and God bless this beautiful country.
We have a very similar experience!! Also from a middle eastern background and I was in year 12 in 1996 when Pauline caused a storm. I feel like that her party has never quite shaken off its racist vibe, but I do admire her for maturing as a politician and actually taking the time to listen to indigenous communities.
