Hell yeah dude I just picked up my e36 the e46 control arms looks so much better than the e36 and honestly the amount of extra angle you get for damn near free is crazy
@@madsciencegarage I got e46 arms with e90 inner and stock outer tie rods on my e36, and I am toe’d out too much and the threads are maxed in so I can’t toe it in anymore.. will this help or what do you recommend
Could be your wheel specs. Try out some different options to see what helps the best. If you continue to rub you can either roll or even shave your fenders. Depends on where your rubbing is occurring. We shaved our nose panels and a bit of the fenders because we had rubbing issues on full lock as well. Hopefully this helps! Good luck!
You can reuse your stock e36 lollipop and bushing. Just remember that you need to shave the e46 control arms to match the oem bushings. We decided to use the solid offset lollipops because we had them from a previous build and they push the wheels out just a tad bit more.
I’m sorry brother I don’t understand your question , the offset bushing are set at a certain distance , I would be able to tell you off the top of the top of my head what the distance is , there is a company named Garagistic and few other that sell adjustable offset bushing with hiem joints . I would go for that . Just remember heim joints need maintenance. Most people don’t realize and they go to shit quick !
I found out what it is, some E46 control arms come with 21mm hex or 23mm hex (where the lollipop goes) hence why they sell different sizes in their website, I have to see the part number or measure it with a caliper to know if they’re 21mm or 23mm, thank you also!
Didn’t say it was a m3 , it’s a 328i but the coilovers have the sway bar mounting points on them , and the controls arms are from a e46 so you can sway bar links to them , so you just get m3 sway bar links and they work
Recently did this and it feels like the steering flops to full lock when getting close I wanna ask if you guys experience this as well I put brand new tie rods on both sides with the adapter plates
We didn’t experience anything like this , what you can do to fix this is add rack spacers , that prevents the steering column from getting to the point where it binds and locks ups .
If this was in my recommended you guys are about to blow up!!!! 😁

It is definitely the most cost effective way to get angle . Paired with those angle blocks and you are in business . Who doesn’t love eBay deals
Why only 507 subs? You deserve way more bro
Thank you ,appreciate it
Did this mod give u any problems ?
Mines has understeer when I did this mod
So you used e90 inner tie rod ends and stock e36 outers?
cv st That is correct. If you are not using the angle adapters like we did,
then you should use the entire e90 inner and outer tie rod assembly.

I’m having really bad clearance issues I rub really bad on full lock. Do you have any suggestions

i have a 99 e36, does it matter what year of e46 control arms?
Q B Nope! Any year as long as it is from an e46 chassis.
When i add the ebay adapter the hole for the tie rod is too wide and has play, donany of u have this problem?
Do you need the solid offset lollipops? Or can you use stock centered bushings

Thankyou very much that helps a lot.
@@youtubetest386 you're welcome! glad we could help
Can I do that without coilovers?
Can I use the cheap angle adapter only? Without e46 arms...
Yes you can use just the adapter , the e46 arms push the knuckle further out so your wheel doesn’t hit the frame at full lock ,
The offset bushings have to be 21mm or 23mm?

Thanks for the info! You guys helped point me in the right direction
Glad we were able to help!
do you even torque the lugs when the wheel is on the ground?
Lol
niceeeee i wonder who shaved the arms for yall lolol
Dude your all over my RUclips 😂
fire vid , very helpful
connecting the sway bar to the coil overs is for a m sway bar or bigger and idk if i would do that if those coilovers are cheap
Yes m3 picks up off the shock absorber or coilovers , non ms pick up off the control arm, been around e36s for quite a while .
Mad Science Garage oh this is a m3 ? Couldn’t tell lol nowhere on your page says that it’s a m3

I would just make sure that your wheels aren’t hitting anything that could possibly cause you to feel like the steering is locking up at full lock .
where do you buy those end links to connect the sway bar to the Coilovers?
The end link are just stock e36 m3 end links. You can find them easily with a quick google search or go straight to ebay.
you didnt trim the tierods? everyone who does this has to trim
Zero ackerman?
