Thank You, I have Heritage wall hanging 31 day clock. You video was excellent in all important areas I needed to begin re-use (after20 years in closet laying down) clock. It was keeping time but would not chime correctly and would stop after a day. So your directions were needed. I leveled click on Wall and from wall by adding felt pads to keep it level vertically and horizontal. Fixed winding by just turning a few times and will up winds each time. I'm being more careful with pendulum. Again, excellent video that covers all aspects of click.

Your clock is looking for a trip to making it ring every 1/2 hour. To get it back ringing once for the half hour and the correct hour, this is what you have to do. While it is striking the hour at the half hour, advance the minute hand past the hour by several minutes. This has to be completed before it stops striking. Now it should ring only once on the half hour. To set the correct strike at the hour, at the 12 o'clock count the hour it strikes and move the hour hand to match.

Do you have any advice as to how to adjust a cuckoo clocks pendulum to set time without going too fast and then too slow and then too fast again? My husband raises and lowers the pendulum but? We just inherited a Cuckoo Clock and are having a hard time getting it right... Or could their be another problem we aren't aware of? THANK YOU for any help you may provide.

What is the difference between a 1 day cuckoo clock and an 8 day cuckoo clock? I thought I was purchasing an 8 day clock but needed to wind the clock weights within 24 hrs...
An 8 day has an extra gear (wheel) and much heavier weights.
