I'm glad your getting them! Let me know what you think when you do. It seems Hiya went out of there way to reengineer these Star Trek figures differently than any of their other lines. Appears mostly the upper body and neck has been reengineered. Hopefully you will still like them! Thank you for watching and commenting!
I had these preordered directly from Hiya's website. I think that's why I got them early (two weeks ago). Decided to post this video before a few others because of that. They do look really good and like the G.I. Joes finally brings Star Trek figures (at 1/18) to 2024 standards. Thank you for watching Sentinel, I always appreciate your support!
Nice intro! Appreciate you taking a look at these. It’s been a long time coming to finally get modern 4” Trek figures. I’ll be very happy to add these to my collection. My only disappoint really is the neck and heads being one piece. Don’t understand why Hiya would do that. These figures would lend themselves to army-building/head swaps to build out more Federation officers. I’d imagine the neck/head might pop off on these, but then would have to figure out how to create a new neck somehow.
Thanks! I wondered if anyone would say anything about the intro. It was a lot of fun to play with these figures and imagine scenarios where the Federation discovers my universe! I agree with you its odd they did that to the head/neck. My only guess is Hiya really seemed determined not to put a cut in the "shirt" of the figures, hence the new engineering of the upper torso which lead to reengineering the head/neck as well. Thank you for watching and commenting Jeff!
@@DieHard3point75 Just dropping a follow-up here for anyone reading the comments. Got my hands on these three and love them. They're really nice. The knee joints are very clean/discrete. The ankles/feet are solid. Wrists/ankles are the Chinese way, but that's fine. I'd still wish the neck and head were separate pieces, but I have to admit that as one piece, visually the neck to head transition looks more natural.
I got these guys too, nice figures! I've ordered Sulu, Scottie. I got two Scotties to attempt a custom Uhura🤞 I didn't know those were Tricorders, I thought it was their communicators, cool! The white device with McKoy is his medical Tricorder.
Thats great! Would love to see your custom Uhura! I am not 100% sure it is a Tricorder (its so small and I haven't seen the movie in a long time), I think your right and I have misspoken. Thank you for clarifying what the White accessories is. Cheers, my friend!
Yes the packaging is very similar. The cost of each figure is fairly similar as well . Yet the articulation on these is much better. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Nice figures, but I like the details given to the Joes line a little more…but I guess there isn’t much you can do with these figures. Thank you for the review.
Your right. The Joes have more detail and I think that has to do with the point you make: the Star Trek figures are just guys in the same uniform but different colors. While most of the Joes are all different except the Cobra Troopers and Vipers etc. Still, these are good and must haves if your a diehard (3point75, lol) Trek fan. Maybe when this line branches out to Aliens and Females we'll see if this line can fulfill its potential. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate you taking the time.
At 16:10 of the video I compare them to the original movie Playmates line. But I think there was also a 5" line. I'm unsure. But these new figures are far superior in every aspect to those. In sculpt, paint, and articulation. Thank you for watching and commenting!
I have these on on pre-order, but I do have to say I'm a tad disappointed the heads aren't on ball joints.

Didn't know people were getting this already. They look really good.

Wonder why they didn’t make Uhura?
@@NewtMan93 Good point. So far no females have been shown for this line. I would guess they have to do some eventually.
They Are much Like the Kenner Reaction Super7 Star Wars Action Figures that have the same Bubble packaging

Are these somewhat in scale with the star trek playmates toys figure line?
