GH5 + Zhiyun Crane - a walk in the desert

Panasonic LUMIX GH5 + Zhiyun Crane - practice
Autofocus is driving me nuts when using the Zhiyun Crane gimbal. Constant focus hunting/breathing.
Tips or suggestions appreciated.

All autofocus on video is still somewhat iffy. The best way I have heard of is to manual focus and then stop down as much as you can while still keeping the shot how you want it. Be aware of distance from the subject and the depth of field you have available. For scenes of the type you film you might want to film using several focal points. It would mean redoing the scene a few times and potentially more jump cuts, but it might help in some situations and would guarantee some usable shots? My one gripe with gimbals is the reliance on autofocus, the technology isn't really there with any camera system quite yet (unfortunately).

interesting! what lens...i use 15mm 1.7 with the zhiyum and im about to go nuts too ///lol
