    Seems quite expensive atm, when it looks like a regular house hold degreaser. But will have to see if it's reusability is better, as that was bit of a problem with many household cleaning products when used for resin washing.🤔And if IPA is too expensive, you can often get denatured ethanol for a cheaper price and it does the same job. Personally I've been using it lately as I can get it for 7€/l while IPA is 15€+

      I do agree that for my taste it's on the expensive side. Thanks for the input 🤟

      From my practical experience, ethanol causes certain types of resin to flake off and develop needle-like things on the surface, while IPA does not.

    What is the disposal/reusable process like? Theres only a few videos guides, really anything regarding detergent but nobody really goes in detail after saying "it's good, buy it." Or "it sucks, buy ipa." Instead of actually going through with follow ups on how/if its possible to recycle it.

    I use the similar product from Phrozen. It is ok but gets super expensive if it is all I use. (I don't use a water rinse and it will settle but doesn't get totally clean even with uv) I like to use the detergent in the ultrasonic cleaner as a pre-wash and then clean the parts with a pump sprayer full of clean ethenol. The denatured ethanol smells so much better than IPA. Stove alcohol work great for me and don't cost much.

      Thanks for the tip! this product works great but like you say. It's far from cheap. I use ipa as it's the fastest way but i understand why they sell it.

      @@NoizieWorks Sunlu High Toughness - Grey. I tested a bit and after a week the cured Resin hardness becomes better. A big problem is that models tend to bend over the drying time and especially after the soaking the model is very brittle (thin parts like arms are easily breaking). Personally I like the detergent, less dangerous and miniatures details are sharper, so I’m hoping someone finds a fix.

    See the problem with water washable and detergents that need to be rinsed with water is the fact that you are now contaminating water. What do you do with the contaminated water? You cant throw it out, you cant put it down the drain, and it takes ages to evaporate off (and leave the nasty stuff behind to cure). Hazardous waste disposal in many places (esp in the US) can cost you money.
    Alcohol based washes remain superior in terms of how well they wash and how easy they are to deal with from a waste perspective. I can easily wash something with IPA and when it's too dirty to be effective I can just evaporate it off and cure the remaining resin slime and feel comfortable with throwing it out into the trash. The whole process takes less than a single day. With water? it would take significantly longer.

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  9 месяцев назад

      Yup 100% now people have all sorts of reasons to not wanne use ipa. This detergent actually doesn't work on a water washable. In that way this is only to show a alternative/safer way of washing regular resins. Now the price is way to high so right now ipa it is!

    • @paranoidpanzerpenguin5262

      Most counties in metropolitan areas will have free hazardous waste disposal days you can drop off hazardous waste at. Otherwise county services or private services might offer ap aid service that really isn't that expensive. Besides, letting IPA evaporate generates a lot of VOC, which isn't great if you're in a neighborhood.

    • @antongunther3977
      @antongunther3977 9 месяцев назад

      @@paranoidpanzerpenguin5262 I pass my contaminated IPA fumes through a filter system rated for VOCs. And even if I didn't, the amount of VOCs I'm producing with 1L of contaminated IPA is significantly less than Bob across the street using a gas powered lawn mower he bought in 89'

    Check e bay for sunlu / jayo detergent, it's much cheaper there. Höfer Chemie for IPA if in EU. But can we recycle this stuff like IPA with uv light and reuse ?

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  Год назад

      With a product i review it's always going to be retail price in the video because prices allways change. Pro tip for recycle, let it sit for a few days and all resin contaminations will drop to the bottom. Then set it outside in the uv and poor everything out through a filter without pouring in to much gunk. This will work for any cleaning solution. But thanks for the tip!

      I tried to recycle Sunlu detergent, but it didn't work. I suspect it's a one-sided chemical reaction that "eats" the liquid resin
