Just moving in to my first flat that isn't student accommodation and this video has been a life saver for settling my nerves. Surprising how little this is covered online tbh. Thank you!
Thank you so much, I was overwhelmed when I was told I needed to setup my own accounts by the landlord
It's actually shocking how you are the only person who did a video about this, I'm honestly surprised. Thank you so much for this, you have no idea how many people you helped or are helping with this video.
I'm looking at moving into my first flat on my own in the next few months. Crazy how difficult it is to find a clear guide on how to set everything up. This video answered all my questions! Thank you! :)
about to go uni this sept well hopefully, but this is so very informative thank you so much!
This is very helpful, thank you so much!
This is so useful! Thank you so much!
Hi, I like your video`s. And, you make it sound very interesting too, esp., for others moving here.In Scotland however, the Water and, Sewerage is included in the Council Tax and, no separate bill is issued. Everything else is the same really.
Thanks you! I’m renting my first house and didn’t know what to! ❤❤❤
So helpful, thank you so much!
Very informative.Thank you very much.
Jen for gas/electricity you can pay by a fixed (amount of)monthly direct debit or a variable quarterly Direct debit. Fixed water rates are based on the value of the property or if your landlord wishes you can get a water meter fitted, and you are billed on your actual usage, which could work out cheaper for less than 3 occupants.
One thing about TV licence. The law changed on 1 September 2016 and you need a TV licence if yu are watching BBC programmes on iPlayer - live, catch up or on demand on your PC, Laptop, Phone or Tablet. A standard TV cost £145.50 a year. There is a fine of up to £1000 plus any legal costs.
Thanks for your help!
Thanks im moving from Frankfurt to london with husband and kids and im so glad to find your chanel i need evey tip
If you need help regards utilities tell me
Just wonderful, I been tryin to find out about "how to reduce electricity bills in homes" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Piyaleb Spectacular Primacy - (do a google search ) ? It is a smashing one off guide for discovering how to generate your own electricity minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my partner got excellent success with it.
Any recommendations for both gas/electric companies? I'm opting for Octopus Energy as I've read alot of positives about them, any suggestions? Cheers 😊
Can you explain further how it works? Cause I recently moved to a room in a house with a live in landlord. And all the bills are inclusive. Also while I was searching for flats everyone wrote in the description that all bills are included. So I just pay an amount of money and that's it. The downside is that I want to pay my own bills and council tax but now I cannot
Nice job. Your landlord should supply you with the information but many are lazy. How do poor get TV is it free for them?

What is the quickest utility bill to get?
or which one of the bills can I register to, and I would receive a letter from the quickest about being a member ?
+TheLoOPerMAN no idea I think it entirely depends.

Hey Jen, would you be able to make a video on getting a British bank account sometime?
+Jayden Veilstein there isn't much to say about it. go to a bank. ask for a bank account. either get one or be rejected 😂
How do you find out which provider the property is already hooked up with please?
My landlord is a random guy hours away it’s all done through a property management company
thanks for the infor. its different from usa
What about heating
what if there are bills included in the flat? I'm sorry for being a weirdo but I just don't have a clue.
Then you don't have to do any of this :D
Virgin does have the best internet (Like £35 for up to 100Mbps w/ no phone line). I couldn't get Virgin in my place so I've had to go with PlusNet (£36 for up to 78Mbps with a phone line). I did have very low expectations for PlusNet but the internet I get is very good.
I refuse to go with TalkTalk or Sky because I've had those before, and they suck balls
+adam051838 Virgin and PlusNet have unlimited usage?
+Broken NoseI do yeah, I've got the top fibre package
adam051838 What about electricity bills? What's your average bill?
I use about £1.70 per day (that's a very rough average) I use electric moderately but when I first moved out on my own I used a lot more. Just takes time to find out where you can save it, reading the meter is very useful
adam051838 I mainly rely on electronics for my everyday life. I don't use gas for cooking. I always use an induction plus I'm 60% of the day on my laptop.
first flat and didnt have a clue, thank you.
pay as you go sucks. better having the accounts hooked up to the bank. standing orders work best for me.
Edf is the worst supplier, Eon energy is the best one.
There is a company called Octopus Energy. They do really awesome rates on utility bills - it is all online. We saved a lot switching to them. The switch took about 5 minutes to process (and about 2 weeks for them to put it through). It is also 100% renewable and you can get £50 off by joining. Check out their prices share.octopus.energy/fair-race-901
and see if it is cheaper than your provider. Really recommend them x
Great Video! Excuse me for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you tried - Proutklarton Vanish Electricbills Plan (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing exclusive guide for cutting your electric bill substantially without the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my m8 after a lifetime of fighting got excellent results with it.
What stops you from giving them very low power and gas readings😏
They often send someone to check and once u move out u have to give a final reading. If the first reading of new tenant is way off theyll know you lied and youll have to pay the difference.
I dont trust the meter reading. There are incentives they give for themselves.
if u have any things else about utlities contect us
we are brokers........
hi, i just found great deal, they will find the best offer for you and switch you without any hassle,
try this out ! Also, you can get £20 if you sign up !

Ah yes *EDUCATION*
FYI it’s called “BBC license” not “TV license”
YOU have an English accent.
i try :D
Haaaaaaaa! Would you say the Elec card is better or the automatic?. Would love to try it the card, but US goes automatic.
Appreciate video content! Sorry for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Chiveard Wealth Storage Framework (probably on Google)? It is a smashing exclusive product for slashing your energy bills by generating your own minus the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my GF finally got cool results with it.
Ok stop? You are lying about utilities in the UK.
