Back when the Ghibli was a beautiful car. I think the Maserati Gran Turismo is more of its successor today. But this 1971 Spec is just pure excellence, perfect, and such beautiful lines. Also wanted to mention this is the SS, 4.9 I believe. Supersport with the 4.9L Tipo.
It appears to have the incorrect column switch in it. Perhaps out of a Bora or an Alfa. No wonder. The original Vitaloni having the "Town and Country" horn option is quite troublesome. I know! I have restored many!
No way! No car of this age, starts like this car if it´s cold, NO car! But it´s a VERY BEAUTIFULL car! Looks brilliant, with a right paint, wheels and a absolut nice colored interior. But no car of this age starts like this, if it´s cold!°🙃
Cars like the Ghibli (or the Miura, Espada and E-Type) are perfect examples how masterfully styled these cars were - compared to the exaggerated and embarrassing poser-trash supercars have become today.

Although my favourite make is Aston Martin it is linked by name to Maserati as the designer of it's 5340cc V8 was Tadek Marek. Marek being the name of a wind and one of several wind names to grace Maserati's over the years. I always looked on Maserati as being the Italian equivalent of Aston Martin. I just hope it's future can be something close to Aston's current status.

This was probably the Last great looking Maserati of the 70's, with the 80's Quattroporte they regained their Design credentials, the Biturbo was a mechanical piece of junk with even worse Quality Control of assembly.
This Maserati Ghibli in this colour and leather interior, is one of the most beautiful cars in the world.
