the keyboards and switches def contributes to the sound, i used switches which sound deeper and both keyboards were modded to sound deeper and poppier as well
nothing wrong with pairing these with a budget build. Might even sound very nice, if your keeb has a plastic case, then it could have a nice deep sound with the ceramic keycaps. I would say go for it if you like the look :3
