Adding onto the wide-range ability makes for perhaps the best backliner perk, even more so than artillerist; You can handle the dangerous gun scavs with blue ticks or guns, and trivialize melee ones with just one well-placed red tick (due to the cripple and fracture). I consider it an inverse of Apostle, where one is an incredible frontliner with the ability to handle gun scavs with it's ability, the tickspider is an excellent backliner who can handle melee scavs with it's ability.
