They did do Salmiak next in the video. They had less of a reaction to the taste/smell, and mostly just had to drink a ton of water after because of the salt
So, this is a hard liqourice with honey, hence the beehive. However, the hard liqourice does carry a pretty powerful smell. Never thought it actually changed the taste all that much, these things are delicious.
Not sure where you are but you can buy them somewhere in Portland, OR, not sure where but I know people from there who show up with them. They're apparently licorice sweetened with honey, but it's not a sweet honey, it's savory. It's a little weird.
Loooool, honingdrop isn't that bad honestly, but I can certainly understand drop/liquorice being an acquired taste. Should try to feed them some salty liquorice next 😆
Suuurely it’s not just liquorice, they said it smells like pierced stretched ears Surely it was those ones with ammonia salt or sulphate salt in them or something
@@Cheesepuff8 There's probably a little bit of salt in there, but it's probably mostly just the combination of liquorice and honey that makes it smell a bit odd.
Well, I wasn't aware stretched ears have a particular smell. If you see a weird sweaty guy trying to sneak up behind some stretchy-ear havers to get a sniff, don't blow my cover.
It's their unwashed gauges, it's truly vile. Just buy a friend some new ones and offer to throw the old ones away so your weird ass can sniff it on the way to the garbage can, keep innocent strangers out of this
They're talking about stretching the spot where you have a piercing, particularly if nothing's been in the piercing for a bit so it seals up somewhat, and then lets out a tiny amount of some kinda lymphatic fluid.
It's obvious it's a type of liqourice with their reactions. xD Most americans and brits can't handle the greatness of liqourice! I'd like to get some here if it's available.
As a dutch person im just laughing 😂 especially bouphe just looking so upset, love you tho bouphe, also my one question How do you know the smell of "stretched earlope" 🤣😭
Stretching a piercing is a common aesthetic practice. If you do it, or are close with anyone who does, you will quickly learn how stinky the jewelry can get if you haven't cleaned it recently enough.
You should have licorice allsorts. If you get rid of the colored stuff on them, you're left with some pure licorice. Though not the greatest of licorice flavours out there.
They're talking about stretching the spot where you have a piercing, particularly if nothing's been in the piercing for a bit so it seals up somewhat, and then lets out a tiny amount of some kinda lymphatic fluid that smells distinct.
Well having never heard of this food until just now, the first step is liking licorice. After that, you gotta get past the smell, a big step in food enjoyment. Then beyond that, you gotta like Zylus.... a big task I know. :P I'm of course kidding, if it isn't clear. But it is sad we have to preface it nowadays. Their reaction makes me nervous, as I don't like honey or licorice very much, but for the memes, I'd probably pop a whole one in my mouth so people could see my reaction.
I looked it up, and as far as i can tell its just strong licorice candy sweetened with honey. Wtf is with this reaction, and them acting like they've never had licorice before? I know licorice isn't for everyone, but they are all acting like this is some weird candy they've never heard of before.
I am unable to understand why people hate honingdrop that much I mean if licorice isn't your thing that's fine of course but people seem to have such an extreme response when eating it Like it's not even the salty one which I understand fewer people are into.. Like I.. I just don't understand...
I think one of the main differences will be the fact that the UK baked beans will be largely haricot beans not the navy? beans they said were in the Bush's beans.
Bouphe's face at the end looks so genuinely sad and upset.
betrayed
There's "stank face", and now there's "liquorice face"
Zylus looks like he's an author
Or a history teacher
Z.Y.Y.Lus
Don't you know about the book he wrote: oopsie woopsie, de trein is stukie wukie.
Or an eastern Dutch farmer :P
@@CharlotteRowe12 lmao
Bouphe over here looking like a Crip member
At this point she probably is... 😅😅
well she loves the 90's :D
MC Hammer meets Axel Rose vibe.
Looking super cool tho
i was thinking the same thing, like damn, bouphe lookin hood. she can't wear that in the states, but where she's at is fine.
"it has too much stank on it" lol omg boba 😂
Bouphe looks genuinely concerned something bad is happening.
Mr. Zylus... i don't feel so good...
Lewis is disappointed that he missed this video
Those two are married he probably eats them things all the time
Those are one of the sweetest/normal ones as well. tbh. Gotta give them Salmiak Oldtimers

Oof, that last bit hit Bouphe like a locomotive
Has anybody here watched "I Love Lucy"? Remember the VitaMeataVegeMin episode? That's the first thing that came to my mind from their reactions.
Of course wee baby Boba wouldn't like it, she don't even like jaffa cakes!
This seems delicious. If I ever go to the Netherlands I'm getting some!

"its in my mouth still because its so thick"
Listening to this without the video for context is… interesting… and made me more than mildly uncomfortable…
Like caramel, or taffy
zylus looks like hes narrating a documentary from the 1970s
Bouphe had her life flash before her eyes there for a second.

double or triple salted?

They did. It was given to them after this candy.
I’m so happy I’m in Amsterdam for the first time in my life I will find this stinky snack. Yumyum
I love those so much, theyre amazing lol

I dated a lot of emo girls in the 2000s and trust me, stretched earlobes are not a smell you want to experience.
@@sandy120 It's like if a wheel of cheese had sweaty feet.
I think I have tasted those, they sell them on a local candy shop here in Norway, they are delicious.
Bouphe's Apollo's "It's a bug!" did not go unnoticed
Can someone *please* explain what stretched earlobes smell like (and how you know this)?
I don't get why some people hate licorice so much, it's one of those things that people either love or absolutely despise
Love those things :)
Bouphe: It's in my mouth still because it's so thick.
Boba finally found the one member that's shorter than her
For those who are curious it's just liquorice and honey
Bouphe is so adorable, but she looks so disappointed.
Bouphe is my day 1 need more
Gewoon een lekker dropje 😊
you should have stepped on it first, zylus. then boba would have liked it
Idk why but that really made me laugh 🤣
i know what ear cheese from stretchers smells like and you couldn’t pay me enough to try one of these 😂
The thumbnail is great
I know, it's what got me to click it lol
Theyre Venco Honingdrops incase anyone was curious. Theyre supposed to taste like honey and licorice.
Is it just black licorice?
It's honey flavoured black licorice, and it's absolutely delicious.

Oh my god! I have never seen Zylus. It's so weird seeing the face to the voice. Thats not what I imagined he looked like.

ooh is this the liquorose or the mentol ones, i think ive had these, like 1 is okay anymore and its way to much
It's ok Zylus, you guys have Stroopwafels, the superior treat.
I hear that Apollo reference, "it's a bug!" 😅🦜
I didn't know stretched earlobes had an associated smell.
name of the actual snack?
What is it? Asking if my Belgian fren has had it
Stretched Earlobes is actually VILE
As a Dutch person, I am both entertained and a little offended. How can you say that stinks?!
It's literally just honey-flavoured liquorice as well lol
Yeah... I knew exactly what Bouphe meant about the earlobe smell. I'm still a little sick from thinking about it.
Salted licorice?
Reminds me of the first time I tried marmite
i really want to try now hahaha. Is there any british equivalent?
You should have licorice allsorts. If you get rid of the colored stuff on them, you're left with some pure licorice. Though not the greatest of licorice flavours out there.
