Your computer is doing a heck of a lot more work. Your screen alone needs more computing power than the "one single computer" that they harp on about in this video. @dougaltolan3017 The pixels of the screen are two-dimensional and do not need to move. The drone needs to move in a three-dimensional space, and it also needs to avoid collisions during the movement.
@chjin1796 dimensions: Red, green, blue, X, Y, Z. Colour depth needs only 8 bits per rgb per pixel (3 bytes) Position could do with significantly more, let's be generous and give each dimension 16 bits (6 bytes) Colour plus location is ONLY 3 times just colour, there are a tiny fraction of drones compared to pixels on a screen, so data, size is of no concern whatsoever. Collision avoidance is managed at the choreography stage, NOT real time. The reprogrammed paths are checked for potential collisions and the show is modified to avoid them.
@chjin1796 A stable image is no more (or less) than GPS stabilised positioning for each drone independent of everything else.
