    hmm very helpful and inspiring. So its a level beyond Rank & Rent whereby you actually run the website/business as an employer of contractors. I have an EDM for electricians in a major city. The keyword is pretty competitive but SemRush volume is around 4000 pm. Feels like a no brainer. I was planning on selling the leads to electrician companies for a very passive line, but the thought of taking more money off the table is rather appealing. Now its a matter of finding the contractors...

    Hey Richard, i got some questions if you got some time for me ... Did you and your junk removal contractor agree to a set price on items? ... Like did yall negotiate that or did you end up getting an estimate from him regarding his services to build your listings and pricing to reflect that while netting you a profit?
    Thanks in advance for any time you have to grant me.

    • @timrichardbusiness
      @timrichardbusiness  10 месяцев назад +1

      I always give the drivers a set price that we can pay for each item but in the beginning sometimes we would negotiate on that price. Now we have set prices for every item (that price can vary from state to state slightly). Important to note: I always give the benefit of the doubt to the driver if there are any issues. The contractors are the business and keeping them on board and paying them well is what makes the business run. Proud to say we have had several drivers on board for 5+ years.

      @@timrichardbusiness I see thank you Richard, you've really peaked my interest with this information of yours ... I'm trying to find a way to live in south east asia as a digital nomad while training Muay Thai full time in Thailand, i'm willing to give this a serious go at it ... If you don't mind i do have several more questions for you if you got the time of course, any input is greatly appreciated i've subscribed to your channel as a thank you ...
      When it comes to picking contractors online i assume you are transparent with them about your business model and the collaboration between you two? ... I'm seeing people that work in my area on craigslist as junk removal experts offering their service would i be proposing a partnership here? ... Or should i be looking to put out craigslist adds for junk removal drivers and getting them under some contract as employee's?
      Also i work the overnight shift as a IT admin from 6pm to 5am from Tuesday - Saturday morning, since i'm sleeping during the day time, do you think setting up the nearest appointments for the following day only to help me manage requests overnight would work? ... Or are same day requests your bread and butter? ...
      I want to know the best way to approach this, if there's any information you found that you struggled with in the beginning you feel would be essential for me to wrap my head around i'd be super grateful, if anything you've already provided me with a great idea and some answers so again i greatly appreciate it ...

    • @timrichardbusiness
      @timrichardbusiness  10 месяцев назад +2

      Yes we are always up front with contractors about how the partnership works and we mainly find people who are already established on craigslist or thumbtack platform and reach out to them.
      We don’t offer same day service, some areas we even only offer services a few days a week. I believe the most important part is allowing them to fully book and pay online, it reduced friction and is a MUCH easier customer experience. Hope that helps.

      I'm sure it is possible but could be hard. Depends on the niche you go into and how familiar you are with the US market.
