Never used to have a single interest in trucks until I stumbled onto a Trucker Tim video, yet I was constantly smiling throughout the leaving of Assen XD
Back in the 80's, when this all was called the Truckstar Power Festival and was held in Zandvoort, me and my class mate we took our bicycles and cycled down there. Best weekend ever!
@@SuperDeathgun Yeah, that was the main issue for moving to Assen: only two roads in and out of Zandvoort. The traffic jams with the truck convoys were horrendous. But hey, I'm in Haarlem, no traffic jams on the bicycle lanes! XD
Thank you tim for keeping this content going, sure my dreams were for now dashed by this silly cancer and crohns only being 3 days away from passing my class 1 but your content keeps my dream alive and as soon as I'm ready and all clear I shall sit and pass my class 1 following in a my father's footsteps. Also one day when the financial issues caused by this are done I'm coming to a truck fest to meet you and shake your hand, keep going drive
Tim, I just wanted to let you know, You and Shaun have inspired me to go and do a HGV Mechanic Apprenticeship and own my own recovery and repair shop, I also want to own my own transport company, All your videos give me so much joy and Inspiration. I had always thought about going into transport as my Dad is a Truck Driver and was very close to starting his own company. I love all your videos, longing for the day I could do it myself. I'm only 15 the now and trying to build up my knowledge on HGV mechanics before leaving school and starting my apprenticeship. Love you mate, keep up the good work
Blows my mind how much support and fanfare there is for Trucks and Trucking in Netherlands. Here in the states, we are treated like shit and you definitely don't see crowds like this at our truck shows.
Tim, you should come to the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS). It's the largest annual heavy-duty trucking show in the world, and next year's MATS will be held March 27-29, 2025. It would be awesome to see you there at MATS in the US with Bruce Willson.
If it wasn't for me needing to be back home because of work on Monday, I'd have parked on the side and did that as well. But that's what happens when you decide to spontaneously go the 3h/300km from Hannover to Assen. I'll book time of for the weeks around Assen next year and properly plan things out. And the model of mine you signed has a special spot now, thank you so much for signing it.

That People beside the motorway that's how we show if we like something. I Always go to the Moto GP at Assen and there are a lot of people when we go home but this......I have never ever see in my 40 years of going to the moto GP so many people, ha but nice,...yes Sir.
Yes Tim .......... Don't mis it anymore. You have seen the REAL Truckstar Festival. A 48 hour truck show with the best gtrucks and not only from Holland. There was also a mad English guy ........... and he is promising to come back ...... for ever. Your are always welcome, Tim :-)
I was at assen for 1st time this year. Was mental. Couldn’t believe how great a show it is. Can’t even describe it. Love to go next year. Hopefully have my own truck roaded and maybe take it across
Staggering just how popular trucks are. Shaun and Nipper need to go next year. It's a beautiful thing for sure. It's also heart warming to see so many kids just seem to love it.

Don't know about next year maybe, but I'm definitely going to go to assen one year at least. That looks like the best place to be and a goal to drive a truck or nice truck to that show one day. And another great video tim. happy trucking, hopefully one day the 4 series could be on a trailer or convoy with the r and s series or something with all of the trucks but yeah nice to see the r series either finished or in its current form. There's always something going on or ideas with vehicles

Woolpit - got pulled in there once in a 54 plate 7.5 t removal van, rear brakes failed miserably, had some home showroom furniture for taylor wimpy or someone on board they let us deliver it at 40 mph, paper disc tacho though lol

It’s a shame trucks are not this popular in the uk. It’s nice to see this many people enjoying a trucking event.
I think it is slowly changing in the UK. There's more people learning about them now. It's a growing sport so to speak

Here in Canada, we call a truck without a trailer. We called them Bob tails.
Same in uk
In Ireland we call it bouncen
In Finland we sometimes call it "ajaa naamana" - "driving as a face".
