Beautiful sound and poignant musical intention from the violinist. I think the piano introduction needed more color and sculpting the phrasing. It was played too plain. Playing accompaniment clean is not enough and too neutral is a fault with a romantic composer as Brahms. This 2nd movement needs a better piano part, the same pianist played very well in the first movement, but this movement calls for more musicality from the pianist. The violonist playing was superb. I am imagining how she would sound with Rachmaninov in this movement.
