Great performance and I l ove the way the camera makes it look like a really intimate setting. And the way the guitar and vocal blended at the end of Ommadawn Part 1 was brilliant.

Je suis un fana de Mike Oldfield. Je viens juste de visionner cette vidéo. Au début cela m'a paru mou, manque de rythme. Mais ensuite après 20 mn, cela m'a plu et finalement c'est un hommage sympa rendu à ce génie de la musique symphonique folk/celtique. Pour moi Oldfield est aussi important dans son genre musical que Pink Floyd. Trop méconnu à mon goût pour l'ensemble de ses œuvres car beaucoup se limitent seulement à l'album "Tubular bells" ou ses chansons à texte "Get to France" et "Moonlight shadow". Alors qu'il a fait tant d'autres albums superbes à ses débuts, mais aussi "Songs of distant earth", "Amarok et le dernier "Return to Ommadawn". Si vous ne connaissez pas, il y a aussi le groupe espagnol Fadalack qui rend un bel hommage à Mike avec des concerts dédiés à ses meilleurs œuvres, il y a des vidéos sur youtube.

As a life long avid fan of Mike's stunning work - this is good- very good ! The lead guitarist ( with a few flaws), demonstrates how incredibly talented Mike was ( and is). More percussion at the end of part one would have topped it. But musical excellence only belongs to one man.
The band from Spain are called Tubular Tribute. You can find them online. Or check out Robert (or Rob) Reed on band camp, RUclips and facebook etc. He is a member of the Welsh rock band Magenta so please check them out as well.
The village of Kington is the nearest to Hergest Ridge. In the afternoon before the show, an organised walk took all the attendees to Hergest Ridge and also past the house where Mike Oldfield stayed. The current occupier of the house was very friendly and helpful.
The organist is excellent - but almost completely ruined by excessive use of grace notes instead of playing the melody straight-forwardly. The grace notes should only be where Oldfield uses them, so it doesn't sound like a circus.
Also the guitar needs some compression, with overall volume lower. When soft you hear nothing, and the accented note are really staggering and unpleasant. There is so much enormous underlying talent, and potential to raise the performance level.

Ommadawn ist ein Meisterwerk von Mike Oldfield ,für mich der Beste Musiker aller Zeiten . Kann von dem Werk nicht genug bekommen .
