You started the game in those outfits, you madman and I completely understand why you did it too. That was hilarious. It's hard to believe that you put in enough hours to even unlock all those clothes, you hero.
since this game is the same as dark cloud 2, I should tell all of you that getting the special outfits for max & Monica is not easy having to use your hard earned medals and all, also in regards to the foot wear, you can buy all of Max's shoe's from his Butler once you recruit him, and you can make ALL of Monica's boots too, and get her hair ornaments from Corrine when you recruit her to except the princess orb and kitty Bell you get those from the mayor. also the explorers outfit, hat and shoes you get from Donny by leveling up your camera to level 6 I think, so take a lot of picture's to get it. Ironically that's the only outfit for max that I don't have yet lol.

nope maxes hats and shoes are surprisingly about 1000 and less cheap or so I recall haha and the only expensive shit is the special outfits but don't bother with the princess one tho because when you beat it next game you start you can giv monica the princess outfit WITHOUT medals haha
so I know this is an old vid, but how do you start the game with being able to pick clown outfit, princess outfit and panther outfit? I know in order to pick monica u have to beat the game once then do a new game, but how do you get the medal outfits to choose from?
You must purchase the costumes in the save file where you already beaten the game(Chapter 8) so for example if I bought the Striped Dress, Clown Shoes, Two-Toned Beret in the chapter 8(you must save the game after purchasing the items) then when starting a new game file the costumes, hats and shoes you bought should be available to pick for your new journey of the game.
Mikey Grayson wow thanks for the reply, didn't actually expect anyone to answer :). ive been replaying this game recently. lol ive beaten ch 7 like about 4 times now almost XD. but for some reason, I never actually take my file past that and beat ch 8, I feel so dumb cuz I just restart a new game after ch 7 after years lol
+blashga27 Glad I'm able to assist. It's a shame this game is underrated despite having excellent replay value accompanied with beautiful relaxing music. Currently on my second run on the PS4 to get the platinum trophy even though I already beaten the game on the PS2 countless times when I was young :))
Mikey Grayson yup its very replayable, and the music is awesome. I also find the story and atmosphere pleasant. I love the weapon customization and combat. I also started talking to all the monsters cuz they all have unique dialogue that I never even knew about lol. also the ppl in palm brinks constantly change their dialogue as well. the game is awesome. sucks a lot of ppl don't know about it, but whatever, doesn't bother me

I've played through Dark Cloud 2 a few times over the years on PS2 and am currently working on a playthrough on PS4 and have never had the option to pick Monica's clothing. Maybe this is a feature that was included in Dark Chronicle (European version) and not the North American version.

Dark cloud 2 was it's name in America, Dark Chronicles was the games name everywhere else. Exact same game far as I know

well, you might've found out already since then, but you have to get them by getting enough medals and going to Mayor Need. He has the clown outfit.
You can also make it, look up a photography guide for DC2

Such as palm brinks. Other than that maybe some small things here and there but really no difference
