I am currently in college writing a 10 pages essay on the Black Death during the medieval times, getting bored I thought why I don't listen to good music, and for some reason Dark Cloud just popped into my head. A game that I haven't played in years just came out of nowhere, and specifically to Rainbow Butterfly Woods. When I played this music, I had this heavy feeling in my chest, so sad and warm. This game was released in 2003, can you guys how fast we have grown. No matter how fast we grow, games like Dark Cloud, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts...etc we will never forget. From the bottom of my Heart I thank Sony & Square Enix for publishing those awesome games and special thanks to the uploader for the extended version
I couldn't agree more... Dear God, it has been almost 11 years...and it's as I've just finished to play this fabulous game...I still remember so much about it: story, characters, dungeons, enemies, weapons, inventions, and almost EVERYTHING ELSE...and it's simply incredible...I think I've played this masterpiece around 240 hours, and the only other games who gave me the the reasons to play them so much are Final Fantasy X and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (even if the last one is not really awesome like the first two)
FFX was the best game i ever played, if ur a fan of FFX id recommend Silence before the storm, a soundtrack in FFX that can make u wonder in thoughts , go ahead i know u will like it !
Playing this at a young age, this was the FIRST game that I really noticed how amazing the soundtrack was. I'll never forget the sounds of Medievil, FFVIII, or Omega Boost... But this was the first game where I truly appreciated the music as a part of the gaming experience.
+ZSoulProductions Damn right! This game's music could put you in tension, calm you or make you tremble in fear (i'm looking at you Ancient Murals). Definetly one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard ^^
@@romisuharyadi8574 yeah ! i was playing it at night, i thought i would stay up until morning, but nope.. the moment i put my stick to the floor, i fell asleep right away. 😂 This song and Balance Valley
I know what you mean. I put over tons of hours in this game and got so close to completing it 100%, but then my memory card just disappeared someday. It's so unfair, I really wanna play/continue this game; it's been so long and I'd hate to start over, only to find the memory card somehow. :(
I got stuck at the lava level because the fights were too hard. Realized I did the game thus far on super hard mode because I never leveled up my weapons with the crystals, I always sold them XD eventually I did beat the game though but not until I bought another copy a few years later
I'm looking for the theme that plays in the later floors (possibly only last two) of rainbow butterfly woods. The theme I'm looking for plays again at the end of chapter 4 (during the cutscene with Max's mother and Jaming's grandson.) Any help?
Why is there like a billion Killer Snakes now when it used to be a legendary monster 200 years ago? Breeding? And why are they way less powerful than the original?
I can't be the only one who stayed still in the forest just to listen to this song.
same
On rainy days I would play this on my computer at work. Staring outside and remembering my younger days playing this.
i do this as well. its very calming especially when its raining.
Makes me so sad
😭

I feel each and every single word that you have stated sir :)
Hosam Orfali it feels awesome knowing that people from different cultures can share same feeling through gaming :D
Exactly man ... This game, specially it's soundtrack, the minute i hear it i just get lost in thoughts ..

ZSoulProductions Amazing to hear another gamer who grew up appreciating these games around the same time as myself. Check out Klonoa as well.
This music is too calming for a dungeon area. i remembered i'd fallen asleep few times when i was playing it 😂
For real?

I like to think that this wood is somehow connected to Wise Owl Forest, that somewhere between the trees is the ruins of Matataki Village.
that would've been really cool. I love that idea.
All the memories rolled up into one song
I wish had gotten to play this as a kid but I never could find it in stores. I've only just now played it at 27 and I really freakin' missed out.
It’s still awesome you were able to experience it :D
One of my favorite games of all time. So much nostalgia. Even if Level-5 did make a DC3, I doubt it would be anywhere near as good as this.
One of the best soundtracks i've ever heard! Thank you Tomohito Nishiura!
Thanks for posting. I’ve had this stuck in my head and I haven’t played the game in 15 years 😂
Still a classic in 2016 : )
and now in 2017
And in 2018.
I second this ^
2019 and counting
2019
My music I listen to while I do homework, however I get distracted thinking about awesome Dark Could 2 is. xD
beautiful song, and great classic game
I play a rain video in the background, reminds me of the rainy levels.
Surprisingly, RBW had a lot of raining levels
TY so much for this extended version!! :):)
I never got past this dungeon. Couldn't figure out how to make the boss appear.
And then my copy of the game got stolen. ;^;
I know what you mean.

I eventually got another copy a few months ago and beat the game. This was before I I realized that it was on the PS4 play store

So many days on this game x3
I couldn't even get through this area quick, I always fell asleep to the music and trying to find that stupid saw. But it still was an awesome game.
Ahh... first time listening to this on the demo disc.
Love this soundtrack
Anyone else hear a teeny bit of Wise Owl Woods in this? Like, the violin part? Or is it just me?
Does anyone else get reminded of the Rambo First Blood song, "Home Coming", by this?
Apparently theres a slot game on the iphone that has taken this bgm for their game... 🙈
JSal-TV what’s the game called???
I'm curious.

+Keenano o I'm not 100% sure but i think it's called Spiral of Dreams
+Golden SkyLight yes
+Golden SkyLight That's the one! Thanks.
And my comment triplicated...
Why is there like a billion Killer Snakes now when it used to be a legendary monster 200 years ago? Breeding? And why are they way less powerful than the original?
Same reason dinosaurs turned into chickens.
😢
I always hated those damn tores.
That 1 dislike tho
