Every form of studio-recorded music since the 1970's has been technically or digitally edited or altered in some way. It hasn't changed. I've heard Hobbie sing live and his "truer" voice isn't that different. The only thing auto-tune really does (if used right) is correct the pitch (in most cases where it's just slightly off). I wish people would get the hell over it, already.
