I've always found the Buddhist base teaching of "Impermanence' to be a guide for me. Change is inevitable: Things grow old and/or change, including yourself. It is to understand where you are in your life and not trying to be 25 years old again and again. Clinging to the dream of youth or a set way of life that has passed will only bring dissatisfaction.
I'm a Buddhist. These ideals are easier spoken than lived but that does not mean they should not be pursued.
The mind makes everything complicated. We just have to breath and keep coming back to our breath. That´s not complicated, it just takes a whole lot of practice.......LOL.
Buddhism is by far the best and most peaceful religion in the world, the real religion of peace. Great video
Hi Mike,

Please, be more direct. the narrative was so indirect it was hard to follow and take note of the important stuff.
Just a constructive critic, I am suscribing to learn more from Chinese culture, as it is very interesting.
For Ur Information Buddha Took Birth In Indian Civilisation Is Buddhism Is Indian Philoshopy. It's Disgusting U Didn't Mention India In Ur Vdos.Don't Mislead People.en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_philosophy

Amitopho! Thanks Chen Dynasty :)
Enlightening. Thank you.
I've considered myself as a Buddhist for a while, even though im from america. Out of most religions that i've been taught about in my life, Buddhism always made the most sense to me. I would really love to visit a Buddhist temple one day and possibly follow some of the practices. I would love to learn more about it. Thanks for the vid :3

Even thought am greek orthodox christian, I believe than these are wise advises and they have many things in common with the sayings of orthodox monks and saints ! I'll try to put them in action, because I want to find my lost inner peace !Thank you Chen, I like you very much and you certainly could be my friend !Budha bless you!
Thanks Mike, this video has taught me many things I thought I knew but, was truly unaware of. Maybe we should all practice or at least study this belief much more closely.

The Chen Dynasty* Remember to breath. Never heard so fast a speed talker before, but i like your videos :-)
i m proud to be nepali , the birth place of buddha.thanx for video
Lol so we should make effort to make Nepal a Buddhist country
OWL TV ,that will be difficult, because he never said that Nepal should be Buddhist country any how
TruthSeeker , no one is claming Buddha, no one can , it's just a misunderstanding spread by foreigners who don't know Sanskrit, who can't speak Sanskrit properly, Siddharth was born in Lumbini , became Buddha in bodh gaya, taught us a way of living, end of story
India actually
Why do you care? if you care why don't you protest against Nepali government for oppressing Buddha dharma for centuries and announcing false statement to the world there is only 13% of Buddhists population in Nepal. You are Hindu and many Nepali and Indian Hindu people are bias when it comes down to Buddha dharma. This is coming from Nepali..
Good information
thank you
Awesome!:)
I'm Catholic but I've gone to a buddhist temple for a school project and loved it! Can I be both? lol
Jacqueline R sure! Many Japanese people do this by worshipping multiple religions, if they can then so can you!
Well, no you cannot. The goal of Buddhism is self-annihilation (you find peace by ceasing to exist). The goal of Christianity is fellowship with God (you find peace by surrendering to His will). You cannot do both, I'm afraid. That is why early Christians refused to let a statue of Jesus be placed in the Pantheon of Rome alongside all the other ''gods'. They knew their faith was an inherently exclusive one.
Jacqueline R i dont know why u cant, unless ur other religion doesnt allow it. buddhism is not really a religion but, more of a philosophy.
I'm not really sure how people distinguish between a 'philosophy' and a 'religion' when we're talking about comprehensive worldviews. Like I wrote elsewhere, actual Christianity DOES forbid mixing it with other religions, at least not the central tenants. Same thing with Islam.
Jacqueline R study Buddhism philosophy you will know yourself! thanks
thanks for the video. great teacher (Awaken one ) from neboer.
So, my attachment to life is the reason of all the stress I am having. I have to let it go. I've been too busy living, now I can see that I don't need to. It is the first step, it'll push me forward.
To be free, I need to let go of life. Didn't know it was that simple.
Thanks.
See you on the other side.
Really nice video. Unlike 90% of quotes of the Buddha on quote websites, the quotes are actually real. And 4:33 is a picture from my temple! One correction: the word "Buddha" actually originally comes from Pali language. Sanskrit Buddhism came later.
Lp Sander Khemadhammo Sanskrit and Pali both use the same word. Both ancient to Nepal. So the video is right.
Ya it's pali.Actually it is pronounce as Budh, only budh.It was not Buddhism, It became Buddhism when it arrived in the west.It was Bodh Dharma.
Long time ago Nepal have lots of language now also 124 language speek in Nepal
I love vids like this , please make some more about the religions of China ,p.s I use alot of imported Chinese Sandalwood incense (stick and coil) as well as some Joss paper use in my religious practice (Celto-Roman Polytheism)

The Chen Dynasty great upload mike I'm starting to meditate each day for an hour no phone no internet nothing digital just a still peaceful mind for an hour keep the great content coming 👍
The Chen Dynasty are you Buddhist?
Love from Nepal
I believe that if you can help someone without expecting anything in return or even just making someone smile you can make the world a better place, I don't know if that what Buddha ment but that's my philosophy anyway.
I like this Video :)
Can you please make a video on 墨子(Mò zi) Mozi and 兼愛( jiān'ài) jian ai, universal love? Interestingly he also disagreed with some things on Confucius, such as that he only like a tradition if it was useful. He also reasoned that the ancient people who started traditions were themselves, innovators.
nice background Buddha music
I went inside that statue 1:02 this year it’s located in Kamakura, Japan.
When I come across a particularly offensive troll, I always offer compassion to them and point them in the direction of the light switch. Great video !

If we meditate on something that satisfies our mind, then our mind will not be hungry for other objects. But if we meditate on an object that our mind is not happy with, then our mind will try to find happiness elsewhere and squirm and shift to an object to this happier with. The mind shifting is restless. It hasn’t achieved calmness. It serves us to have technique and artistry in our practice.
If we’d like the mind to have a rest, then we incline the mind towards an object that the mind is happy with. See what object you’re happy with. Some people chant and feel happy.
@@iKwaiLek MIND IS A THOUGHT MACHINE WHICH THINKS 50,000 TIMES IN A DAY.
Thank you SO much man!
The way you pronounce gautama is so cute and funny, I wish we could leave audio’s 🤣🤣
budha or buda also means awaken one in croatian and many other slavic and indo-europian languages
Interesting video. I hv always wanted to know more bout buddism. Just that it will b awkward cause I'm a Christian
Honestly this sounds at its core just like what I hear from Christians and catholics in my life... I feel like most religions are more alike than ppl would think
I wish to learn more but first could you or anyone share with me the artist and name of the music?
Great video ! What is the other major religion in China?
i am nepalese😊😊😊
There seems to be a lot confusion regarding whether Buddha was from India or Nepal. We must remember ancient India was larger than present day India. Ancient Buddhist scriptures say nothing about Nepal, but talk about India as "Jambudivpa". Buddha was born in present day Nepal's Terai area. This area than was part of 6th Century BCE India's political system. In 1760s Nepalese Gorkhas became powerful and in late 1700s they captured many areas from weak Indian kingdoms. After British war British forced Gorkhas to give up many areas they captured like Gorakhpur, large part of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, but allowed Nepal to retain Terai area. After independence India did not claim back those areas. Which is why where Buddha was born today falls into Nepal but not India. But regardless Buddha was from ancient India.
om Mani padme hum namo amitabha🙏
mike, can you do the sixth patriarch?
it's really nice!!! beautiful lesson in itself...so true, so simple we don't realize these things when caught up in the rat race...thank you
Sounds more like philosophy than religion....
That perception may come from the focus on Buddhism’s lessons on life. Rather than the full belief system of Buddhism.
Buddhism is not a religion it's a philosophy
@@alangallop8782 It's a religion since it focuses after life.
@@alangallop8782 Totally agreed.
Amitabha...
Could u do Shintoism
Can someone provide a link for these texts? I'm interested in learning more about them
Mike provided some links to text about these types of religious topics in the video description.
❤
In every century all philosophers & good emporers end up in the religion. Peace and aware of truth mind humanity. But everyone hates straight path.
