I'm not really into metallic watercolors but Kremer's golds are stunning. Got hooked on Kremer from "creationsceecee", the queen of gold. She was my enabler. I had to have them - you know - just in case. :-)
..last year I was by Kremers im Allgäu and bought a lot of Colors, the little Palette from metallic colors is absolut wonderfull, sorry for my english, I'm from Germany...
I love Kremers watercolors- the Ultramarine green is my favorite color from Kremer and I believe i may have been the one to recommend,lol..If you paint out the Ultramarine green with a lot of water it granulates and even color seperates a little, so beautiful. Just so you know the first 2 colors you swatched are 100% fugitive unfortunately but are still beautiful to play with in sketchbooks and what not...Great video and thanks for sharing, much love!
If you need to clean shellac inks off your tools, simple green is great at it. I have cleaned out years of dried ink out of my technical pens. That shellac ink is so beautiful.
Wow, that yellow-green! If I'd just clicked into the middle of this vid, I probably would have assumed you were swatching gouache until you reached the bottom of the center column there - SO pigmented! It'll be very interesting to see how they mix and layer. My fixation with Kremer's travel brush set (like I need that, but so beautifully done) is suddenly broadening way, way out to full Kremer madness.
Great video! Kremer is one of my favourite brands. I've bought individual pans and their historical set (called Illumination) out of curiosity and they are definitely weaker and harder to rewet than usual for Kremer but still really interesting and hard to find anywhere else. You chose some lovely colours. Was interesting to see that theirs is much stronger than the new Schmincke yellow.
Interesting to know that some are weaker in tinting strength. I had at least 3 colors that were backordered in this order, so once those come, I will test them out on the channel too.
Yes, it is PY 40--I see differing information from different brands about the lightfastness of PY 40. But Jane Blundell says what you say and I tend to rely on her expertise. I haven't played around with this yellow enough to say one way or another in practice yet.

Good to know for when I’m in the market for a new gold watercolor. Thanks!

I love Kremer they make great pigment to make your own watercolor. I might have to pick up that yellow green.
Oh wow! Beautiful colours ❤️ I’ll have to get me some Kremer pans.
I absolutely love the Kremer watercolors 💜

These really surprised me in how pigmented they are!

Isn't cobalt yellow PY40, which isn't lightfast in the slightest and goes completely grey? :)
Edit: Yes, yes it is. Looked it up on their website.

Maybe do a light-fastness test. Or use it in works you scan for reproduction
