@Tens Flavo You serious? Barkley made a little over $43 million in player salary, half of that or close to half of it went to his agent and taxes. So he was left with like $22 million. He pissed away at least half of that money away by gambling.

HeartlessXiao poker is gambling. It’s just that it has the best odds. You can’t tell me when you go all in with A-A and you flopped a set of aces and then you lose to a flush draw that there’s no gambling involved. At the end of the day you are still relying on a certain amount of chance/luck, hence it’s still gambling.

Barkley got great treatment in casinos because he was known to take care of the dealers and wait staff. No-Tippin-Pippin on the other hand...the stories of him not tipping are nuts but the things the wait staff would do to his food and drinks must be so much worse
I hope people don’t use what Chuck is saying as advice to continue gambling as long as you feel like you’re winning, Chuck says he loses more money than he wins as do all gamblers
The thing about gambling is that it changes you. Non gambler who starts gambling will say oh i won 50 bucks im walking. And he will do it. Next time he will try again and again. If he keeps wining next walk will be at 500 at some point. Then 5000. Your 50 bucks or 500 wont be enough for walking. You will want more, because you lost more or simply want more or is not enough. No mat5er how much you win you will put it back for more. People spent money. But then what .. so you take winnings and gamble them for more... later u realise you are down soo much you lost control because your luck will not last long.
Dealers in Casinos are like Servers at a restaurant, you pay them for their service and entertainment. Their performance will make or break the entertainment value of your trip to a casino. If your motivation is not entertainment you are there for the wrong reason. You should tip them as you play not based on your win/loss necessarily. Your tips should be proportional to your average bet. Similar to restaurants, generally if you can’t afford to tip, do not go out to eat.
Makes no sense. So much waste. When I see that it makes me sick, I worked hard my entire life then developed arthritis and cannot work and now im a single dad on disability and living way below the poverty line what a million dollars would do for my little boy and i would change our lives so much.
Jeffrey Lebowski I honestly don’t think Charles ever had any fantasies about beating the casino. Problem gamblers all logically know that theyre in a losing proposition. They just can’t stop. They also don’t live in the long run. Gamblers are people that live today. They know that if they keep playing they will lose all of their money. But they don’t care. All they want is to walk out with a big win on that particular day.
Jeffrey Lebowski Which is what I said. They chase the big win and the high that comes from that. Money is an underlying component. But it’s not the motivation for gambling.
Remember this interview the next time Charles calls somebody stupid . At least I bet that person he is calling “ stupid” didn’t flush 15 million dollars down a toilet doing one of the buttdumbest things a human can do -gamble

It makes sure they keep on gambling and lose whatever they won. But if you lead a disciplined life, never lose your head, and see gambling as a science than maybe... There are examples very successful gamblers...

summary: only few are addicts, while the majority are nihilistic
from what i've seen at the Casino there are different types of people 1) Senior citizens who has money and has nothing else to spend money on. 2) Misfits who look like smokers/drug users who don't look like they belong anywhere else in public (so where else would they go ???). 3) Young adult groups of friends (that are too lazy or don't have time to go travel to actual far away places) ...
Honestly i don't think much of them are actually addicted to gambling other than a few.
What all 3 groups have in common are : I think most of them are just people who have nowhere else to go,, while at the same time being so nihilistic towards expected losses.
The few that i've seen, that look like drug addicts/homeless/etc..(hogging 2 machines at once, clothes dirty, asking around for money) if they're not physically blessed to be a Sports Athlete, nor are they mentally blessed enough to even be a Doctor ,, how else would they get rich other than to gamble ? Seems like they are just there trying to reach for a little hope, while at the same time be there willingly just to have all their hope taken away (expecting losses). It's like they're there for some sort of self punishment. (these are the only people i've seen who doesn't look nihilistic when losing on gambling (at least on slot machines), they look slightly bitter slightly sad (they don't bother to hide this face being out in public).
For someone worth 40 million dollars, losing 15 million is a terrible thing.
@@jobdoneright5934 Don't be such a dick. But Barkley probably isn't that rich anymore. $40 million is what he made before taxes as a NBA player, it's not his net worth.
@@MrDodger3222 his tnn xontact is about to renew. He is making millions annually from it. He is expected a multi million dollar contract.
@@MrDodger3222 but I'm sorry I offended your boyfriend I know you got to protect him.
Gotta love how G wants to scream but holds it all back.
I dont know why but i really like graham's personality haha, puts a smile on my face
Gambling is a scam. It's designed to get someone to constantly chase losses and gamble more until all money is gone.
I work in casinos for almost 15yrs now, and thats a propper attitude...
I stood behind Charles & MJ @ Ceasers place during the Edgewood Golf tournament Lake Tahoe 1999 & watched them bet 5- 15 K per hand on Blackjack.....
Dana White: Hold my whiskey
Chuck may be honest, but he needs to be a little smarter.
It took me going broke, losing my home going to two shelters with my children and wife to finally begin breaking out of that painful devilish nightmare of over 32 years. Today I am sharing my journey right here on RUclips. #Ificanyoucan209
He has a job and looks great, not strung out on drugs or anything, who gives a ish how and what a person does with their money. I'm sure he is not homeless or jobless. I do what I want with my bread, I earned it, I spend it, period.
i heard a story about Barkley and Tiger Woods having an argument in Las Vegas over tipping dealers. Charles wanted to tip big and Tiger picked up the tip and wouldn't let him. He basically took the money away from the dealer. I haven't heard good things about Tiger and tipping. Same with Scottie Pippen.
You only quit gambling when your money quits on you
If he has million to play with - he's already rich -
why risk giving it to a casino?
It doesn't make sense.
He likes the sensation of winning I guess.
He's exactly right when a little bit at a time👍
The house always wins. You're better off winning money by putting your money on an index fund.
with leverage? 1:20 ?:D
Starlord it's for fun, gambling dip shit. You don't got money to waste like that.
That's why you play poker. You're not playing against the house and it doesn't take much skill to beat the rake. Just don't play above your stakes/ skill level.
@@TheGuyCalledX But you can also be playing against some big card sharks too.
@@MrDodger3222 then don't play against big card sharks? Those guys usually aren't playing 1/2 at the Bike lol
I never understood gambling. I hate it when i lose and im not happy when i win.
So crazy.Never understood gambling at all.
always love charles, so honest
Not trying to win a lot, just trying to win, is the only strategy in poker that works.
I lost 1 million 10-20 times?!?! That's a huge range. That's absolutely crazy that he doesn't even know.
He's done it so many times he's lost count, that's not unusual, especially for a man as wealthy as he is. Plus I'm sure many times he was intoxicated while he was gambling lol
Jeez I lost 200 the other day and was devastated. Most I ever won was 300. And if I’m up 10 I usually try to walk away and it’s still a problem for me…
Charles said it, I would extend it: gambling is for idiots
the only way out to your gambling habits is finishing all the money you had. No more money..no more gambling.
Dude said “75 hundred thousand” xD
i think he meant 75 - 100 thousand.
Fast Boi lool just clocked that mistake. Boy is Barkley behind on the IQ but we wouldn't be here if we were up there either Cas we failing the same way he is.
If you play long enough, the casino will always win.
Apparently you are a lot better basketball player than a gambler but I am glad you found a way to get by. I wish you well.
Would love to see u interview norm Macdonald
If you have money it's not that big a deal because you'll get more but if you lose your entire life savings as an average joe, that's devastating.
"What do you like most about gambling?"
"Winning" That's when you knew this was about to be hilarious 😂
Makes no sense. So much waste. When I see that it makes me sick, I worked hard my entire life then developed arthritis and cannot work and now im a single dad on disability and living way below the poverty line what a million dollars would do for my little boy and i would change our lives so much.
Steve Wynn said on 60 Minutes that no one ever beats the casino
You seriously don’t need a casino magnate to tell you that though
StuUngar clearly a lot of people do. Charles Barkley for example.
He has a serious skewed understanding of what it means to come out ahead
Jeffrey Lebowski I honestly don’t think Charles ever had any fantasies about beating the casino. Problem gamblers all logically know that theyre in a losing proposition. They just can’t stop.
They also don’t live in the long run. Gamblers are people that live today. They know that if they keep playing they will lose all of their money. But they don’t care. All they want is to walk out with a big win on that particular day.
StuUngar for many the higher the risk the higher they get, the money is actually secondary
Everyone in this comments section is so quick to accuse people of being gambling addicts. Charles Barkley is a multi-millionare NBA icon, him losing 20 million in his life from gambling isn't as bad as it sounds considering the money he has.
This guy is so engaging, hard not to not pay attention to his words.
When you go gambling, play to have fun, NOT to win.
Sir Charles, everything the OG says is unscripted, constantly speaking the truth
Why would you gamble if you’re a multi millionaire.
He hit on my wife's cousin who works as a cocktail waitress in Reno. Of course, he didn't do it himself, he had one of his entourage do it.
"But I knew, the trick with whales like Ichikawa was that they can't bet small for long. He didn't think of it as winning ten thousand, he thought of it as losing ninety thousand."--Sam "Ace" Rothstein, character in the movie "Casino," screenplay by Nicholas Pileggi.
When chuck said winning he looked like Donald Trump 🤣🤣
charles Barkley is a good tipper!!!!! that so awesome that he times about the working people!!!!
God bless Charles Barkley for tipping $75,000 to a $100,000 as a former dealer I love that!
as a gambling addict of 15+ yrs myself, i know for a fact many dealers are gambler addicts tgemself, there's this asian guy told me like 10 yrs ago , he was in the process of divorce, been work in A.C for the last 25 yrs and have nothing to show for ,still struggle with mortgage payment from time to time....
of course you do. casino dealers are some of the most entitled people in the world while being basically useless
@@tommyfu9271 They can be replaced my a machine. Many of them already are because you have online gambling now lol. Even at land based casinos, they can easily have machines take place of a whiny dealer complaining they aren't getting tipped enough.
Hey guys , I privately deal. And I did a poker game for nfl players and they play blinds 100-200..minimum chip is a hundred, they would tip me 1-200 dollars a hand..when it’s that much money on the table...tip your dealers! 100k is 10% of a million so it’s definitely within reason
How many videos you made of Barkley or is it one long one broken up?
‘That’s a lot of money’.... Graham had just paid off his Pontiac Grand Am
Dealers don't tip us when we lose. Somehow I still end up tipping them. What's wrong with us?
@2:27 how much is that
Good for him. Yes, if u win, tip the dealers. They get paid almost nothing like waiters
I think True Gamblers, Not Pros. Actually Play to lose the thrill of getting the next fix, being an underdog and playing from the bottom actually gets their adrenaline, mind and heart racing!
He never gives exact amounts. TAXES! lol.
Exaggerate your losses!
How come this guy gets this host ? Who’s s Graham ?!
Imagine having that couple million and instead of giving it to a casino you change someone's life that's struggling...He drove through Philadelphia...I'd get more of a thrill paying someone's rent or buy them a small home.... greedy
Percentages. Just don't understand people who bet when the odds aren't in their favour
0:06 Charlie Sheen impression
It's Charles' money and he can do whatever he wants with it, but regardless of how much money I'd made, I don't think I'd want to throw it away in a casino. Instead of gambling, he could spend time working on his golf game. ⛳
He was also making 10 million or more a season and that doesn't include endorsement deals!! What we consider a fortune to him was chump change !!
No gamble no future.

Last time I gambled I was up 4 dollars and left happy.
I'm at a casino having fun...When I win I tip 10 percent.. The dealers are there working, helping me to have fun.
I don't tip because their employer already supplies them their wages they earn.
So I think it's clear Graham Bensinger is a cheap tipper or doesn't tip at all. His reaction says it all.
Ah so that’s my problem... I just need to win around 50k and then drop out instead...
