Tareq, I got out of flying due to space and safety. In the last 3 months, there is an awesome group in Livermore, Ca that has access to an excellent area to fly, so I am back at it. What I think would help: 1) transmitter setup and toggle switch layout for the beginner. Like what makes sense. Which side for Flight modes, throttle kill or hold, rates switch, etc. 2) Speed and rates that are more realistic for beginners. Having setup that is common for all and speed/rates that make sense for us newbies. 3) Budget is always an issue. Have several controller options, for example, under 300.00 USD. 4) Helicopter setup basics, it sounds silly, but many will get Bind and Fly for their first. What to look for and what to avoid. 5) Besides the SIM, what orientations should you master first? With helpful tips. While this might seem boring or ridiculous, basics first with safety. 6) While there a a select few who have done something similar to what you are trying to achieve and few that might criticize you, please don't forget, us semi-newbies will always be watching! I appreciate you and thanks!
Space is my concern too, especially here in the big cities of the UK. When I was a kid in the 1970's, there was always playing fields available for the kids to play. But because we have a lack of housing, any open spaces in the cities have been sold to build houses. You can't really fly helis in the parks as they are always so busy.
Personally I would be very interested to get in depth descriptions on the parameters of FBL units and the effects they have to tuning a heli to either 3D flying or speed flying. As well as how to see, feel or hear the ideal setup. Things like the "agility" setting, the differences with P, I and D gains,
cada helicoptero vuela diferente, no sirve de nada copiar paràmetros de la unidad FBL , hay muchos factores a tener en cuenta, los servos, el motor, el ESC , etc ..
Each FBL system behaves differently. So the basics (what to look for, how to check in flight, etc.) would be nice, not just numbers of a single fbl brand.
I would like to hear your learning curve, maybe you can try to implement in this 3D flight learning school. How you started, was it difficult for you, did you have certain fears that were holding you back, what's the most common mistakes, how much of a role do talent and the simulator play? I know the best school is always when you can work with students individually but you can find what's the most important and universal things to start with. It should be great to hear what a leader like you has to say. Many people I know from this hobby, including myself have very slow learning progress flying 3D. I've reached one level and there's no further, I enjoy flying but I don't dare to go to the next level.
I agree! I’ll like to see the videos on 2 screens watching your stick movements, that’s how I learn too, some of us will learn more visually than theoretically.
Thank you so much Tareq for willing to share your knowledge with world. This no small task. For me, I will like to see you start with explaining the basics of both the radio and the Heli electronic set up that will help archive good performance Heli. Then your personal perspective on how to fly the way you fly. Having assistant to support your demo will help us too. Even using flight sim is not a bad idea
Piro flips, inverted flight, but most of all how do you keep track of inverted and not inverted so quickly? What are you looking at in orientations? I'm not a smack 3d kinda pilot but more sport. I would like to throw in a little 3d but not too crazy. When pilots do hard smack 3d it's definitely an awesome skill but very intimidating to new comers and can be discouraging. We all know it takes a lot of time to be great but slowing things down helps alot. Thanks Tareq. :)
Back in November I stumbled upon one of your videos with an m1 or 2 in your house and thought I want to do that in my backyard , not realizing how difficult flying rc helicopters would be but needless to say I now have 2 700s a 500 and a 420 m1 and m2. I can fly around forwards and backwards flips, rolls and do funnels blades in tail down but I feel stuck. I’m just trying to get an order of what do in steps and learning orientation without having to think about it love your videos looking forward to what comes next! Btw thanks for getting me addicted to this hobby😂
Hi Tareq, thank you for the videos and for inspiring many to join the hobby. I think it would be helpful to see tutorials on different 3d tricks, and a video on how you chain/join tricks together. ❤
Dear brother Tareq. First of all thank you for always starting with good wishes. I also wish you the very best to you and your family and many blessings. Thank you for wanting to share your experience with all pilots. Now for your question I think practice is key. Yes there are some maneuvers that would be good to learn or some tips and tricks. But personally what stops my progression is setup. I still need to find what parameters to change to make the helicopter feel as solid as the simulator. Yes I know the simulator cannot be 100% like reality but the helicopter is always perfectly tuned. The tail does not move no matter how hard you are on it. The helicopter responds exactly how I want and just a few changes to rotation speed, head speed, tail speed or expo make it feel perfect for my flight style and skills. But I cannot do that in real life. There is always something that makes me feel disconnected from the helicopter. That is probably more difficult to teach because maybe there is something incorrect mechanically that I don’t know or one parameter that can solve the issue that I don’t know even exists. But I think showing the basics and tips and tricks from you will be very helpful. Everyone has a different way of learning and enjoys different styles and speeds. Some don’t like your style because it’s too fast. I admire your reflexes and how quickly you can change directions at high speeds always in control. Just 10% of your skills would make everyone give me applause at any fun fly 😁 but it’s really great you want to share what you have learned. I think just your experience in learning and tips and tricks is very good contribution to the hobby and can be helpful for many people. Take care as always brotner.
Please tailor the series on the very beginning of 3D and work your way up to the most extreme 3D. Personally, I have just finished learning how to fly inverted after about a year of practice. Now I i will learn how to fly inverted in reverse. Once I master this I will move into 3D flight skills. It is my opinion that a good pilot must be a master of basic flight in all orientations, including inverted, and including reversed directions. Once this has been mastered then and only then can 3D flight skills truly take place.
I love slow 3D, maybe you can make an episode and show some slow 3D tricks which are good to start out with. And fast pirouetting, how to control the heli, keep him stationary.
I can fly circuits in all orientations, loops, tick tocks, funnels. But I'm very bad at making transitions between tricks. I would love to hear your thoughts on how to join everything together into one cohesive performance. Also, how to incorporate rotating the tail into flips and rolls. It looks really impressive but I'm not sure where to start. Very excited for whatever comes next, thanks for your videos.
Hey thanks for your time to be shown how to do piloting the right way. Sure wish I could be closer to see your flying first hand. Personally I am curious about the batteries and the life of them and charging. Thanks for bringing this content to everyone around the world. From Vancouver Island BC Canada
First of all thank you for taking your time to help new pilots!! I really would love to hear from you which kind of basic maeuvers in upright and inverted flight every pilot should be able to do before he starts thinking of more complex 3D flying. Maybe you could try to remember how you were beginning many, many years ago. I for myself am flying basic 3D maneuvers like flips and rolls and some inverted flight and have the most difficulties with the collective pitch management and timing. Do you have any great exercises to train the timing in the transitions upright - inverted - upright?
Hi Tareq, it great a pro who is willing to share his knowledge. Thanks for that and all your videos. For me, to properly learn to fly in 3D you need to know how to tune your radio and to properly tune you need to know how to fly. I would be interested in a real explanation of VBar radio unfortunately we cannot find an answer during symposiums or meetings it seems that even the professionals differ on the explanations. How to set for a calm 3D helicopter or for hard 3D. I'm thinking of the style, the optimizer, the paddle sim, the coll balance etc... What test should be carried out for each of these settings? There is nothing on the net, your explanations would be welcome for hundreds of users of this radio. I thank you warmly from France. Pascal.
Hey Tareq thanks so much for your inspiration. Do you remember PS virtual fighter where you can study the moves to perform for example a roundhouse kick, is it possible to have something similar to perform 3d stunts, maybe even a graphic on the bottom of the screen? Need to teach myself muscle memory and seeing a visual of what you do would be awesome. Back to watching your videos many thanks, Steve.
Ya I think we should start at the beginning and do a video on setup and transmitter layout! Before 3D flying, a lot of us newbies need some guidance as to setting up the IKON2 and transmitter! Thanks
Moderate sport flyer here, I would love to see a series about heli and transmitter setups for the different flying styles. Thabk you for the series Tareq and greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽!
Honestly I think you could start with pirouetting training and how you fly the disk. I know some people look at the heli completely different than others during 3d. Some methods may work better for some than others I always like to get this perspective from any pilots. Way to go man! The head speed king!!
Your truly an inspiration to everyone in the rc helicopter hobby. I'm fairly new and have a rs4 legend running mikado classic tx and vbar neo Pro. I'm at the stage of loops and barrel rolls and inverted hovering. I'd love to see some videos of how I can progress further from this stage. It would be a great help for me and I'm sure for others starting out at my stage aswell. All the best happy and safe flying. I look forward to your up coming videos 😊👌👍🏻🚁
I've been flying since 2004 and I suck because only in 2017 did I pick up 3D and bought so many crappy helicopters, from align, blade, Walkera, now I have a goosky S2 and S1 and I cannot say how much better it is to fly and how much easier it is, it took me 6 flights to crash, with the stupid XK and other crappy brands I was just getting worse, Goosky is 100% recommend I have tried probably every mini helicopter and it is literally the best if you don't count omp which is also amazing but it's hard to find omp ones at least in my country.
I've flown every flight Sim made. With that said it's never backwards or upside down. I've tried to break myself of that but I basically spent 3 years of my life trying to learn 3d. I can't waste no more time trying. I'll just enjoy your videos and stIck to my 2 230s and FFF.
Hello Tareq! This is an amazing and great idea!! I think there are a lot of guy‘s they would love this. For myself there are some facts important: Your setup and programming The way to create hard stops like you (programming and setup) The kind of training to get better and lower without many crashs Since 2017 i flew thousands of flights in real and more than at the sim. My favorite size is the 700class and all of them are electric. My personal stick-mode = 1 So i definitely hope to get any impressions and tips to become better for myself😉 Thank you so much! Greats from Austria - Wolfgang
yeahhhhhhhhhh !!! great helibrother Tareq Alsaadi طارق السعدي !!! wonderful initiative, this way the evolution of pilots and the hobby will be incredible, making it easy for new people interested in our beautiful hobby to access and understand, success always my master
Hi Tareq! You’re are a great pilot, absolutely! Great respect! I can only fly some a la fixed wing maneuvers, haha. I am just curious, how many helicopters did you crash with your crazy maneuvers? 🙂
I think they dont called it 3d flying....it looking more like kung-fu RC helicopter flying....Tareq....you are flippen good.....with RC Helicopter flying.i just love it.
I've been wanting to get into the hobby for ages. Probably almost 15 years. I really want to fly the big ones, but I have read well enough to know, getting the helicopter is the cheap part, learning to fly it is the expensive part, and it's just out of my budget. But I did pick up a goosky S2! So I will finally start learning how to fly. I plan for my next helicopter, to be something more like the SR4, as it should fly much more similarly to the large ones. Is this a good path to success for learning?
Hi Tareq and txs to you for your help. My progression is very very slow. Scare of crash and need motivation sometimes to fly because 3d is so hard Which helicopter should I start with? Is a 600 the right compromise? for visuals and on very windy days. How many times a week should you fly? how many flights per day maximum? how to integrate simulator training and real flights? how to adjust your machine from beginner to expert? how to structure your training? What is the wrong Way and the good way to learn 3d? Here mode 1 and BeastX with hobbywig and castlecreation esc sometimes Take care you!
Thanks so much for your video. Follow you to learn is so good. Thanks so much. We are planning event and would like to invite you to come. Hope to see you in Hong Kong soon.
You have a tuff challenge ahead of you. Especially with all the many different setups people will have.. Some correct and many far from it. I believe we all need to invest into a simulator. That's the safest and first step after actually learning to fly comfortably. I will for sure be here to learn from you. You are "THE" "Expert" to learn from. 😌
I may be too new and too old and too broke for this but I’m in. Just beginning and only have 4 copters (3 elec and 1 nitro) that can handle speed 3d. The others are in the 230 and 480 classes. Goal is to not destroy all day 3. 😝 😮😮😅. I don’t have the skills or knowledge to comment on directions so I’ll continue to follow and see where I get let off on the path. Appreciate your skills and look forward to learning.
I know that I won't be able to fly like you, that is God given talent but I would just like to learn the basics. Hovering inverted and flips and rolls.
Tareq, IMHO i think it would be nice if you make a list with manoeuvres and create a poll so that fellow heli pilots can vote. For me every manoeuvre is exceptional, as it shows the progress of our skill level. It is awesome that you created these learning series! Many thanks! 😎
Hello Tareq Very good initiative, thank you for treating us to many fantastic flights. moreover a pleasant person to listen to, in the hope of improving myself by watching your videos and putting your advice into practice. Stephane
If I'll start to try like you do you're going to cost me a lot of money. I think tutorials will be hard, most people won't be able to get on your level. I think talking about flow and how to go about things will be best. Really excited for the series
Hey Tareq, thank you for the opportunity to learn from you! Do you use dual rates or expo and what's the best way to learn your move where you almost slam the heli then stop it precisely before it hits the ground. I like that effect it gives.
I just need to know where to get the super human reflexes and hand eye coordination. Some of us just don't have it and never will, but I enjoy your content none the less. Keep it up!!!
Salut Tareq, merci pour tes vidéos, pour ma part je souhaite acquérir prochainement un kit combo m4, ou m4 max, déjà avant de décoller, comment faire la configuration de tout l électronique. Les,différents modes de vol, tr/min…
I think that you should start by giving exactly what electronics and flight systems are being used as well as the exact settings and then go into what stick movements for the 3D maneuvers you're making would be a great start.
Hi Tareq, I am just a beginner heli, I am learning hovering, I wish to learn 3D , would like you guide us from beginner(basic) until able to fly 3D , I did crash few times so far. . You are my mentor. Currently I am flying M2 Evo
Hi Tareq, I recently bought a Goosky S1 with the plan of learning to fly it well and see if I could learn a few simple 3D moves. I’m still just admiring the thing, so I can’t wait to follow your new videos here and learn from such a nice person. I think if you can give some insight as to the mechanics and aerodynamics of what is actually taking place with the model would be helpful and interesting to help us really understand things as much as possible. Thanks so much for taking on this project !🙂🙂-stephen
great idea is to get a flight simulator and if used enough you will simply program the brain and quite easily without a crash. goosky s1 is great as it will unlikely get smashed to you can learn many moves. Accurc simulator is a good one to start off with and you might be able to use a dongle with your tx in order to fly it on computer.
@@andyMSH700 hey thanks , you are absolutely right about getting a simulator , I was staying away from that , but I will take your good advice now , thanks again 🙂
Great idea and a really good initiative - thank you, really looking forward to it. I'm hoping you start from the beginning/basics, then more people can benefit.
I am doing very basic sport flying at the moment as I only started flying in January this year. I'd like to know how and where to start with getting into 3D. Looking forward to your visit to Johannesburg in October!
great idea. please step by step. with an explanation of how to control certain figures and what you should pay attention to. Please start with simple figures in order to see results quickly
How about a video on nerves. I get so excited sometimes, before I fly. You can see my heli shaking in the air sometimes. Other days I’m great and those are the best flights and most fun. I want those days all the time.
Yeah, nerves are a bitch. I feel great until one close call and then I can't do any of things I'm normally comfortable with because I'm stressed out, fingers stiff and rubbery. Sweating on the TX

including how to set up correctly the machine
Personally I would be very interested to get in depth descriptions on the parameters of FBL units and the effects they have to tuning a heli to either 3D flying or speed flying. As well as how to see, feel or hear the ideal setup.

Looking forward to learning form you, Absolutely incredible RC helicopter pilot. 😊👍🚁🚁
Glad to see that you are back. May Allah bless you and keep grinding. Loving the community that you are creating. You are the best
Im beginner pilot watch from Thailand. Thanks your advice for the starter to learn and practice.

Scare of crash and need motivation sometimes to fly because 3d is so hard
Which helicopter should I start with? Is a 600 the right compromise? for visuals and on very windy days. How many times a week should you fly? how many flights per day maximum? how to integrate simulator training and real flights? how to adjust your machine from beginner to expert? how to structure your training?
What is the wrong Way and the good way to learn 3d?
Here mode 1 and BeastX with hobbywig and castlecreation esc sometimes
Take care you!
Thanks so much for your video. Follow you to learn is so good. Thanks so much. We are planning event and would like to invite you to come. Hope to see you in Hong Kong soon.
the heli boss is back!
Show 👏
Left stick and unlearn throttle at low point will be the hardest I think. To learn collective control from stick at midpoint will be a nightmare.
Good 🚁 Morning 🌞Tareq
My question is what are the best models & prices ?!
Hi Tareq, I think the best thing would be to start with the 3D configuration on the helicopter in broad strokes.
I would like to learn more about piro moves, especially ones like piro circles and figure 8 or snake transitions while piro. all piro moves are fun.
I’d like to learn any advanced tricks that top pilots like yourself do, running out of ideas when flying. Thanks!
What is the setting required for 3D helicopters... From Aircraft setting and controller..
This shit looks like a glitch in our reality,Tareq you're the best!!!
It does 😂 it's crazy how many people think it's cgi
🤣🤣
LOL! He took the red pill.
I think a good video would be like recommendation for first heli and transmitter, as well as getting them programmed and setup
Always a pleasure to watch you fly, Brother!! Take care, Stay Well and My best to You and your Family, Always!!!
Basic 3d manuvers❤
Awesomeness my friend.
As a note I’m flying mikado neo and touch Evo to. Some others.
As a brand new pilot could you go over the general sequence of what I should be learning please. Looking forward to the videos!
Hi there Tarek!
Salaam Maleikum!
Thanks for the initiative
Still, the video with the nitro and the palm tree stays my favorite!
Greetings!
Thank you for your video, i would like to learn fly soft 3 D
The fun starts at 3:29 faaaack me dead 😮😮😮
I'm very excited! love it!
Hello Tareq
Very good initiative, thank you for treating us to many fantastic flights. moreover a pleasant person to listen to, in the hope of improving myself by watching your videos and putting your advice into practice.
Stephane
If I'll start to try like you do you're going to cost me a lot of money. I think tutorials will be hard, most people won't be able to get on your level. I think talking about flow and how to go about things will be best. Really excited for the series
I just like to watch you fly my friend 👍
Mashallah Love it ❤
Hey Tareq, thank you for the opportunity to learn from you!
Assaalamualikum Tareq, greetings from Kuala Lumpur. Wow, this is the most aggressive flying you have recorded. Looking forward to your next video.
Im flying xl520 and trex800, doing some 3d manouvers but big difficult is the synchronization.
I can fly inverted but trying to pyro flips are tough, I cant row the sticks like some pilots. Would love simple break down of moves to pyro flip.
I would like to see videos on all the piro stuff: piroflips, pirotictoc, corkscrew, pirochaos, piroloop :)
Salut Tareq, merci pour tes vidéos, pour ma part je souhaite acquérir prochainement un kit combo m4, ou m4 max, déjà avant de décoller, comment faire la configuration de tout l électronique. Les,différents modes de vol, tr/min…
I think that you should start by giving exactly what electronics and flight systems are being used as well as the exact settings and then go into what stick movements for the 3D maneuvers you're making would be a great start.
start with the basics beyond hovering, and sport flying. what are some good tricks to start with
Hi Tareq, I am just a beginner heli, I am learning hovering, I wish to learn 3D , would like you guide us from beginner(basic) until able to fly 3D , I did crash few times so far. . You are my mentor. Currently I am flying M2 Evo
Okk bro❤❤❤ take care haven a good day
Hi Tareq, I recently bought a Goosky S1 with the plan of learning to fly it well and see if I could learn a few simple 3D moves.
Hi Tareq ,
I would like to get lessons to get fingers connected to the joystick , so we get confident to do the maneuver
Great idea and a really good initiative - thank you, really looking forward to it. I'm hoping you start from the beginning/basics, then more people can benefit.
Hi Tareq Your Standard Settings for the 700 class would be interesting pitch, collective pitch, style agility etc.
Tareq, would you show stick movement in a floating small window while you do demo? That will be great help !!
Very Nice
I want to learn fly reverse, upside down and both at the same time to have a good base for further maneuvers:)
I've been practicing funnels a lot, but am struggling maintaining altitude and with consistency
Awesom video like all of yours, but i dont have a Heli like yours, any tips for beginners like me, what model i can start with?
Same...
