Very defecul this airport, now easy.
It’s not that easy to use this airport especially as a transit passenger in Eu most of the airports are stress free while you’re transit passenger once you landed you can easily walk straight to the another gate for your second flight but in Turkey you have cross the passport control 🛂 and pass the security and then you can start to find your gate. But waiting time is too much in Istanbul especially when you are trying to rush. Please use smaller airport like sabiha gokce airport for shorter walking distance gate to gate.
Are you sure about passport control? I think there is no passport control in Istanbul Airport if you're transit passenger. Do you mean security check?
@@turkey748596 yes security check at the gate they do double check for the passports by Gozen security company and then another check from airline company. It’s like you getting out of prison 😂

Because you don't need visa for connection flights and why you would go to police control(passport control) if you don't need visa? I think only private security companies does check for safety, not police, right?

I was worried that 90 minutes was not enough time for my connecting flight but she assured me it was plenty of time. I also asked her if my first flight is delayed what would the procedure be if I missed my connecting flight. The customer service representative told me that Turkish Airlines would get me on the next available flight.

@@k-Chicago I am glad to hear that. Did you have to run? I have a flight from Chicago to Istanbul airport for 80 minutes connection time to another international flight. To be honest, I am bit worried about making it.
@@mahammadhajiyev9027 I had to walk fast but not run. I also stopped for a bathroom break and had to go through a security again but still made it. While IST airport is huge, it’s not hard to find your way to your connecting flight. I think if your first flight is on time, you’ll be fine. If you can, try to sit towards the front of the plane on your ORD-IST flight so you can deplane faster. Hopefully you are on a single ticket just in case.

Yes, I am on a single ticket which I purchased from Turkish Airlines website and it’s their responsibility to take care of my ticket if there is any delay. However, if it is on time, it will be my responsibility if I can’t make it there on time. I will try to connect with flight attendant to see if they can help me deboard quickly. I don’t mind walking fast to the next one. I am bit worried about a queue in security.
