In my opinion Clint is one of the most underrated centers. He’s overshadowed by Chris Paul and James Harden, but he’s one of the key parts of this Houston team.

Centers can be good in this era even without being able to shoot 3’s, Capela is a great example along with D12

Clint Capela has worked very hard the last 4 years to improve his game. Free throws, speed, defense and rebounder. His 3 point shots are increasing too. He sets screens, plays hard defense. A perfect center for a team like the rockets who run and gun, set picks and move the ball around. He gets a lot of assists fron harden and CP3 who dish the ball to him.

Being born and raised in Houston I get to see him play every game since he's been on the squad. He's made real progress especially this year! He use to get banged up in the post and couldn't get 5 rebounds in any game. Now he does the banging gets double digit rebounds and gained muscle! He's the poster boy for today's NBA centers and how they should play. Glad we got him on the squad!

This guy is very underrated and humble player. Harden helped him to be strong and boosts him by sharing the ball like what Westbrook did to Adams.

Clint gets a lot of love in Houston with the Rockets. They even have a minishow during breaks in the game called _Fashion Copela_ where he plays a fashion police. He’s totally a team player and works really well with James Harden. He’s definitely gonna stick around in Houston. They love him and he really seems to like the fans, the team and the city as well. Hopefully his and CP3’s chemistry also improves and we see him throw more dimes and lobs to Clint. Clint also works really hard on improving his game, developing a post game and even borrowed the Eurostep from Harden’s arsenal helping him to get from the top of the arc to the basket against less mobile big men.

Yo I'm dead serious about this, one time I was playing 2k16 myteam and I got a silver Clint Capella and put him on my team for a challenge. He got fouled and I shot the free throw with him and filled the shot meter all the way up and HE AIRBALLED!!! I was so mad, but now I see him making free throws and now I use him a lot because he hella tight now 🔥🔥🔥

everyone always missed the fact that this guys Wingspan was longer than anyones in the NBA! that's one reason Morey drafted him!
In the 2014 draft the commentry was going on how they picked him up for financial room and now look at him
They thought they were going to draft and stash him in Europe for another season. But Capela was persistent about coming to the NBA right away. He rode the bench till the end of his rookie season and really didn't start playing consistently until his third season. He was too raw, but I'm glad Morey decided to get him into the NBA despite previously considering stashing him.

Great video on an underrated center; but at the same time I feel like Capela can be overrated too, because he's in a situation where it seems like his capabilities are best exploited. If you'd put him on the Hornets or Heat for example, I'm almost sure he wouldn't do as well as Howard or Whiteside. But great for him, and he still has time to grow!
