  • MTB trail ride along at Allatoon Creek Park Mountain Bike Trails. In this video we tackle Turtleback, Red Baron and Whipper Snapper trails. These trails feature types of riding. Turtleback is mostly an XC trail, while Red Baron and Whipper Snapper have multiple man made features. We also visit their skills area with progressive jumps and drops, a pump track, teeter totter and few other surprises. The Allatoona Creek Park mtb trails are maintained by the volunteers from SORBA West Georgia and they do an excellent job of keeping the trails in great shape as well as continued improvement of the trails with their community partners. Check out their website www.sorbawestg... for trail status and more information on the trails they manage. This is a great and extensive trail system that offers something for riders of all abilities. Enjoy the ride!

Once again, a great video! Turtle Back was the first trail opened at Allatoona, exactly 10 years ago this month! Amazing all that's been built out there in such a short time.

Thanks, it is such a great trails system. I am going to try and add videos to MTB Project like you suggested. I had not even thought of that.

@@cbmtb Really like that you take the time to stop and show details of the trails. Now that you have all the footage, consider making an All-A-Toona Race pre-ride video. Not only would this help promote the event, but would give riders a better idea of what they are getting into. For instance, I can't tell you the number of times out-of-town racers commented they had no idea how technical sections of Hocus Pocus could be.

@@thomcerny1101 yeah, I could do that. Take me few weeks, but I can put that together. Would definitely be a longer video though.

this park is fire one of the best that ive been to so far, i did turtle back, red baron, mambo jumbo, the connectors between them, rusty bucket and some side trails. will come back for the others definitely. Tho where i started was at whipper snapper, that part is crazy. I had to pause on several jumps and drops, tho I am riding on marlin 6 which is a xc bike. i just have to gain more skill. Overall tho tho this place is very amusing and fun to ride on. rust bucket is also cool but short. Will come back to experience everything else.

I really enjoyed this video. I've been scoping out this park on youtube and found a few videos but none of them cover the amount of stuff like yours did. None of them show the skills area or anything, just general trail ridding. This place has peaked my interest and I will be making a trip down there. We have a bike park here (Bakers Creek Preserve) but it doesnt have near as good a skills area. I'm still new to MTB and dont feel like pedaling for 30 minutes to get to the top of devils racetrack only to avoid all of the jumps because they are huge. Then the trails in Chat arent as nice as the ones in your vid either. If Chattanooga had trails and a skills area like what you've shown I'd go there as well.

When do the trails close for hunting season? Trying to come up soon but weather keeps looking like crap on the weekends.

@@cbmtb thank you. I'm sure I can look this up, but how many miles are there? If you had 3 days to ride where would you do it in that area? Thursday-Saturday. Blankets, Ole Rope Mill, Alatoona, Mulberry Gap?

@@MTB_Adventures tough call on that. I ride Blankets and Old rope mill several times a week so I would say hit up Allatoona Creek would be a good spot to start. There are over 30 miles of trail there. I love Blankets and Rope Mill and they could be done in a day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. You can never go wrong with Mulberry Gap and all the options up there. But if you have done Blankets and Rope Mill before, I would recommend trying the trails at Talking Rock Nature Preserve. They are great and pero fast too. About 15 miles worth of trail there. It's between Blankets Creek and Mulberry Gap. Stanley Gap Trail is a good place to, if you don't mind a lot of climbing. The downhill is worth though. I have video of both Talking Rock and Stanley Gap on my channel. Check them out.
