Makes me happy seeing you make the farm as frictionless as possible, it’s really starting to take shape, Papa would be proud of the state of the farm. Bless you and your family Justin, cherish this time with those kids. ❤️
Beautiful set up with the turkeys and chickens .So big and healthy wonderful job boys keep up the great work. Sheep love .... I harvest some of my vegetable from my garden had it for dinner so good wow.My four chicks are 7 week old they now can go out and work the compost area .Thanks for all the great advice I am learning every day.
Justin, the flame weeder works much better if the weeds are dry, else a fair amount of the energy is just burning off the water on the weeds before it starts to burn the weeds itself. Give it a try my friend.
First thing I did when we put our Red Dragon together, was... I permanently attached the flame striker to the Red Dragon cart. That way it is always with it when you need it. Otherwise at my house you would never see it again! I'm the organizer one in our family, that's why I put the striker on the Red Dragon cart. I do not like to hunt for stuff. Not so with some of my family members!😊Lol!
So as a side note Justin, you're giving me hope. I have to shrink a 40 acre plan into a 10 acre plan. .... you make me think it might just be possible....
Totally. Actually 10 acres is waaaaaaaaay more than enough. It's a lot of work to maintain 10 acres like we do. But more than enough for a family of 8.
I would suggest a min. water supply line size of 1 1/2 inch PVC . That size will reduce your system headloss Also always use 3/4 inch hose for 75 to 100 ft...runs.
Look at Mr.Brown with his Shoes on and everything !! I'm so proud of you buddy,Lol And, His sunburn isn't hurting !! Whaddya know !! There's Josi !! Do a good job now , Josi for ya Dad, he need's all the help he can get ! :) God Bless :)
I have a question I have six chickens are about nine weeks old do I continue to feed them grow food starter food or do I switch to something else one too and can I give them lettuce and scraps like that yet or should I wait a little longer thanks for your reply I know you’re busy
Justin please explain about the name you call the sheep? Is it the word sheep in a different language? I tried looking it up but the references I found were not sheep related.
you need to garden weasel or one of those mini push plows - give them a quick sizzle and then just use them as you would any cover crop - maybe disc them then plow under plant and then ammend with compost to suppress weeds til plants catch on - plant like 100 nut and fruit trees on southern edges of the fields - food, profit, low maintenance high quality feed #black locust - plant what you can germinate on your own - 1 a day
sorry i commented before you mentioned that idea - it is great idea - try some varieties of american chestnut that are blight resistant but have a big variety - group them up a bit more and you can prune if they all do great - another great use for compost - adding to orchard once or twice a year - another excuse to get a min excavator - maybe do it all in day or two - dig a bunch of holes #making hard work a bit easier
congrats on the road and gravel - will look great soon #permaculture #food and feed diversity - do a bunch of berry plants - go a bit overboard if possible
Dense planting and Purchased Garden soil. I'm assuming you're talking about the raised beds. In other areas, chickens going before the garden, broad forking and adding compost every year.
It's rooster teeth. That's what I like to call Grit. Grit is little rocks that poultry actually eat. These rocks go down into what you call their gizzard. The gizzard is a muscle that works those rocks to help break down the food. Chickens don't have teeth, so the grit serves as that. So that's why I like to have fun and call that rooster teeth :)
I’m just curious not criticizing you in anyway shape or form but did you only just recently figure out about the whole how do I say this blow torch fire against weeds? My dad‘s been doing that for years at the lake and it’s very very effective
You let the weeds germinate then burn them so you break the cycle. Might take a few months or years but eventually weeds will be almost non existent. (not as effective in open environments because of wind drift. But should still reduce your weed load significantly.

I hope so!
Gideon looks sooo cute standing with his hands on his hips.He is adorable and he’s starting to take the incentive to be involved in the chores.
Justin, what family memories you and your beautiful one have to look back on.
That Hose & Fittings are for your garden irrigation system
I think it's worth it too, love seeing y'all rewarded for all your hard work.

Those turkeys are so funny, growing so fast!
Those fitting and pipe is what I use in my garden for drip irrigation. Works really good for that.

For any of you that have an old kid carrier backpack: I put an 11lb propane tank inside ours and it works PERFECTLY as a backpack flame weeder.
I'll just say Good Day to everyone 😊😊😊
You are doing well and you'll do better next 💕
Always double check the items when you order online irrigation parts from Drip Works! I have had to learn this the hard way too...
Woot, Love your vlogs! Always something to look forward to after a loooong day at work!!
I bought a torch this year. Love it. So much easier

I was just watching Neversink Farm on RUclips today on how to keep your veg beds weed free.
The thing you used to light your flame weeder.... is called a "striker".

Good morning from Australia 🤩, mind you it’s probably night time over there 😝
I'm so sorry, buddy! I do not think that fire does not disturb the micro environment of your soil!
Yikes! You're cracking me up with the burning weeds up in the garden. And funny Turkey talk too.

I swear by vinegar for sunburn. Instant pain relief! Smells but pain is gone repeat all day. And of course alone vera
You may be holding the flame on the greens too long. You should just have to touch it with the flame. Right!?!
Looks so fun
grandpa is the hardest working man on the farm. hahaha
You don't have to see it wilt. Just hit for a few seconds.
Thank you. Still getting the hang of it.
Companion plant that giant pumpkim. Id go radish n majoram.
That's a great thought.
Very nice your farm
Many many thanks

How do u get your garden soo big and green
Dense planting and Purchased Garden soil. I'm assuming you're talking about the raised beds. In other areas, chickens going before the garden, broad forking and adding compost every year.
What’s the hay for after laying seed?
Is it just me or have the pigs doubled in size since the last video
Hay
How do you make your granola?? Enquiring minds.
Hi justin rhodes big fan
What brand ice cream maker are you using?
Looks like you may have gotten fooled into buying 1/2” outer diameter tubing instead of 1/2” inner diameter tubing
I bet that was it.
What is rooster tea?
It's rooster teeth. That's what I like to call Grit. Grit is little rocks that poultry actually eat. These rocks go down into what you call their gizzard. The gizzard is a muscle that works those rocks to help break down the food. Chickens don't have teeth, so the grit serves as that. So that's why I like to have fun and call that rooster teeth :)
an idea is to have a gate across the street from the new road to upper pasture instead of crawling over fence,,,save a accident on the wire fence.
LOL. We just purchased the gates. One thing at a time. Definitely on the path to smoothifying this farm ;)
Do you use a special ice cream recipe?
Great video🥰🥰🍀🍀☘☘🌿🌿🍃🍃
You have inspired me so much I have started my own RUclips channel it's called cz fam
I am early yes love the video keep up the good work 😘😘💪
Thank you! Will do!
My grandpa always talked about the high price of a cheap fix.
This Is a Flammenwerfer. It Werfs Flammen.
I’m just curious not criticizing you in anyway shape or form but did you only just recently figure out about the whole how do I say this blow torch fire against weeds? My dad‘s been doing that for years at the lake and it’s very very effective
I think 1/2 inch isn’t big enough to go that far. I think you’ll top out at 400 feet. You might need to boost it to an 1inch line.
Interesting. We've been using 1/2" to go nearly 1,000 feet to the pigs already. I think we'll be ok.
You get what you paid for Justin! But you learned from it, right?
You let the weeds germinate then burn them so you break the cycle. Might take a few months or years but eventually weeds will be almost non existent. (not as effective in open environments because of wind drift. But should still reduce your weed load significantly.
Good point.
Love form pakistan
you really need to transfer the c.monsters because its too crowded maybe some will get suffocate when they sleep at night...im just concern😁
No they're fine. I've been doing it this way for years. There's actually plenty of room under there. They like to crowd together.
