It's ironic that in our world, riven by war, negativity and corruption, plays such as this one fail to support a sense of despair. It's all just too much of a bad thing! And when it comes down to it, unless you are as unbalanced as Strindberg, life with all its deficiencies, is still a blessing.
Strindberg deserved much better than this !! The sort of self indulgent drivel he would have despised in his lifetime. He would have despised Bergman I suspect .
One of my favorite plays by one of my favorite writers directed by one of my favorite film directors.

Thank you very much.
Thank you friend. Saludos desde Perú.
Strindberg, like Chekhov, makes a lot more sense when performed on a stage than read on a page. (I didn’t intend for that to rhyme.)
Bravo!!!!!
Thank you
I love it👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Guess the Shining was copied from here. bergmann uses the same Bartok music Kubirck later used. He must have seen this. Strindberg is great.
Cast list? Is there one with the video? I have not watched the entire video.
There are end credits.
do you know which year this was released?
is this the 1972-1974 one?
it was filmed in 2000 but released in 2007 after Bergman's death
