[1] friend here being 同志 - more akin to those of the same mind on something
[2] they're using 意志 here, in the sort of "whoever survives will continue carrying out our will in this matter" kind of way
[3] 首領, which is all sorts of chief/boss/leader/captain types
[4] more literally like "don't discuss silly/ill-advised knowledge"
