I mean this is great, but I'm trying to understand what this provides that cannot be done with already existing APIs available. I've already built basic bots, I was thinking that this gemini thing could perform operations and tasks on my database for example. Perhaps sorting user uploads and generating a feed for example.

So you can have Gemini for free in Firebase, free cost, but that recommended plugin forces you to enable Blaze plan. How come?

Firebase extensions run on top of Cloud Functions for Firebase, which requires the Blaze plan.
