    American Queen Voyages ceased operations as of February 20, 2024. Viking Cruise Lines operates on the Mississippi River System

    Wow! I would LOVE the shore tours! Would love to see Baton Rouge and LSU campus! A dream trip! Love the history of it all!

      What? Do you think he was even in any of those places? I'm pretty sure that was all stock footage and all he did was narrate. He wasn't even on the ship, he didn't give any information about the ship except that you had to check in the day before. Well, that's informative.

    Viking Mississippi will soon put this cruise line to shame. It already booked and sold out for the next three years. Super high end.

      We've really been looking forward to Viking being on the Mississippi (we do tons of business with them too). The Viking ship will be quite a bit different than the paddle wheelers, and may be a better choice for some people. Much like they did in Europe, Viking will grow the market for all operators on the Mississippi, and yes... they are largely sold out for the next several months (although there is some availability if people are flexible for dates). I don't think Viking will put anyone to shame, but the product will be different, and we're happy to chat through which cruise line might be more appropriate (which will change depending on what someone is looking for).
