Dear Voja, do you find the contrast of Go 10.3 better than that of Boox Mira (and Dasung b/w monitors)? I feel curious because I'm not quite satisfied with their contrast (though the very first dasung monitor had surprisingly lighter background and better contrast than the later generations have).
It's the LG 42" 4K Flex OLED screen, which must be the best steal of a purchase I have ever made. Bought it last year at 75% off 😳 The store was doing a blow out sale, had one left and slashed the price way down. At regular price I would never even consider it, but at 75% off, well it was way too good to pass 🥳
@@MyDeepGuide and how do you like it? I mean, as an OLED I find it amazing, but you do programming a lot, which means a lot of still and static imaging (burn in?) and they say in OLED plain text reads far worse than in IPS screens... Is that so?
I absolutely love it, and yeah, normally I program for about 8-14hr a day. It has an automatic deep clean functionality that completely gets rid of any trace of burn in. That said, I never see any burn during normal daily use. The only time I did see it was when I left the computer to do an automated macro for 72 hours, and that was 72 hours the screen was on and only some menu items were changing, but the main window elements remained static. However, as soon as I was shutting down the computer and the screen after that stint, the screen prompted a deep clean query, I let him do it and 5 minutes later not a trace of anything :)
Thanks! Yes I do, but only first 3 albums, before they went to entertain the masses kinda style. So, "The Gathering", "Classical Mushroom" and the "B.P. Empire". "Reborn " is also quite good.
Can someone help me pick an e-ink tablet. I can’t decide between the Manta, Boox 10.3 or the RMPP. This will be my first e-ink tablet. I just need it for notes and reading pdf books. TIA!!
@@HansSolo1911 first question is whether color is important or not, mostly for reading pdfs. If your pdf content has a lot of color based contebt/images, then go for the rmpp. Then the manta has a 40 day lead time. If you want right now, go for boox 10.3. If you can wait, go for the manta.
@@HansSolo1911Booxes are very good for reading PDFs; Supernote's software for reading is ok, but not nearly as good as NeoReader. they are about even these days on writing notes; Supernote is better with note organization but Boox is better with broader features like shapes, ability to add text to notes, etc.
The devices are so different, it's hard to recommend. The RMPP is great with images and notes, but watch the review to decide if you can tolerate the flashing when the screen refreshes and how it behaves in color notes and the text reproductio. The other two don't have a front light (an option to illuminate the screen) and are black and white. The Boox is great for image and text reproduction and it's Android, so you can install apps and connect devices and have many settings, but for some it makes the UI complex and confusing. The Manta I think is worse with images? But better for notes if you do some serious note-taking that needs links and organization, and it hasa modular, more repairable design. Watch the reviews, each device has its specifics. I use an older Boox Note Air 2+ that has front light, which creates a bit more distance between the pen and screen, but I need light. I love the simple connectivity (to computer, to storage devices, to keyboard...) and the quality and versatility of exporting notes. Think what you really need or what would annoy you in a device.
Voja - I know Boox keeps topping your list, but what are your thoughts about Boox's extremely biased (pro People's Republic of China) built in AI app (Bytedance's Coze)? I have 2-year-old Tab Ultra and just did some testing with the AI, and it is very disturbing. I don't think I can support a company any longer that has a built-in AI model that is so biased (ask it about how Uyghurs are treated in China or for anything critical of China, North Korea, or Russia).
@MyDeepGuide That’s not the right question (or answer). Why should we trust Boox if this is what they’re putting on their platform as a built-in AI? It’s an AI trained with propaganda that lies to the user.
It sounds like you already have the only answer you are interested in hearing, and that you don't really care about a discussion, and are rather looking for a sounding board, and that's not something I'm going to participate in, so you can go ahead and proceed on your own. My opinion is that I don't trust any corporation, because greed is their creed and their business obligation. So re-read my original answer with this mind, if you are interested in my opinion on the matter. Or don't, it's up to you entirely :)
@@MyDeepGuide that’s fine. Yes, I have a problem with a company that puts a default app on their devices that spews pro-PRC censorship and propaganda but apparently you don’t. This isn’t about corporate greed.
How cool to see you sharing more of the other things you love, too!
Your first two picks, were the same as mine. The go 10.3, I read by while making my notes and study material on the RMPP.
Merry Christmas 🎄
And thanks for Your excelent job you are doing.
Ohh, also Merry Christmas
I am before my first buying. What you recommend? Onyx 4c or 10.3 ?
I have a Yamaha DX7-IID and I love it.🙂
..Merry Christmas.

Voya do you like Infected Mushroom ? Nice review of non E Ink devices and other categories

Didn’t expect you to be into psychedelic music. ❤ Do you like Shpongle too?
Of course I do 🥰
No Manta on your list Voya or was this done prior to the release? :)

Ooh, also in german audio translation!
The light behind you needs to be dimmed.
No, it doesn't, because I like it that way 😁
Yep, I didn't even realize it until you turned it off, then on again

Should explain what an e-ink does, I have no idea.
Have you tried Wikipedia or Google, or anything else to find out on your own?
Wavetable synths are great, they've got character and flexibility

Why would you ever use that in the first place? Just install Chat GPT if that's what you want to use.
