This is the FOUNDATION OF HIP HOP PERIOD!!!! IF U DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS ... YOU DONT KNOW JACK!!! This should have so many more views ...sad!!!!
facts
The fact it doesn't have as many views should show those claiming hip hop today is booty...and just gotta rep as from Queens, the fact The Boss challenged us shows Queens is more then what people get from the media.
It has Jamaican roots

This track isn't that great....
Rap just isn’t for you….
You must not be from New York
You have NO idea.
Kris and Scott were two homeless guys living in a shelter. If I recall correctly, they were part of another group before forming BDP.
They had NO MONEY, so studio time, sample clearances, etc were very expensive.
Mr Magic was the King of NYC at the time and The Juice Crew was number one. Marley Marl was a hit maker at that time.
So, for the little resources BDP had, this was a banger.
And you won't know this, but Kris was smart. He also had "South Bronx" and made "TBIO" in preparation for the initial retaliation record.
BDP ethered TJC before "Ether".
Word play was trash 🗑 lol 😂 this can’t be what niggas was going crazy for back then 🤦🏾♂️🤣
Rap battles aren't about wordplay
