Traxxas will respond with.....another new color lol. I love Traxxas but they NEED to keep their products up to date! I'm not saying a total overhaul but offer improved parts that are backwards compatibile to older models and parts. Take all Traxxas 2WD platforms for example. They all desperately need sealed diffs, updated chassis pans (SLASH 2WD is excluded from needing a new chassis pan), updated shock towers and updated suspension arms to allow for more adjustability. Its also about time Traxxas improved the front knuckles. Its been 23 years since the Bandit, Rustler and Stampede came out. Any other company would've been up to their third or fourth generation by now. Critical parts improvements and updates can make a big improvement to an otherwise simple and easy to work on platform.
I'd like to see them at the absolute minimum update the conrod in their shitty engines. I'm a huge nitro nut and that terrible rod is a problem to be sure. It got me a practically mint Slayer Pro for just 220 bucks. I rebuilt the 3.3 with the Davis Diesel rod; we'll see how well it lasts. When it blows a second time I'm grabbing either OS or Dynamite power. Sweet truck besides. I have mine kitted out with reverse, FPV, from-the-transmitter engine starting. Aside from the TRX2.5 and TRX3.3 being irredeemable piles of shit, I'm fairly happy with the Slayer. Got some nice tires on mine too(RC4WD Micky thompson MTZs on 1.9 SSD steel beadlocks) and I put an M2C 3-shoe clutch in it the other week. I just wish it wasn't such a porker!
Robert NES816 to each their own. The fact that my BIGFOOT Stampede reminds me of driving RCs back in the 90's is actually my favorite aspect of the truck (besides that beautiful O.G. BIGFOOT body). Then again, I am a basher, not a racer, so if it's handling you're after, the 2wd stampede is a horrible choice, but if you want balloon tires, insane wheelies, and an old school feel with slightly more speed to it, it's perfect.
ChrisandEileen have they sued anyone besides Arrma? Also, the fact that they have different colors to choose from is actually a good thing. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
Put the diffusers on your xo1 if you're pulling 100mph runs..they're not put in the box for fun, they're required at those speeds...says it right in the manual :-)
Good to point out. Arrma dollar for dollar consistently gives you more than Traxxas. I mean I don't have anything against Traxxas. I think they make quality products. I just think they're largely overpriced on everything.
@@idk-ir6vv Limitless (car) roller is $399. I saw someone (don't know what motor & electronics they put in it) show it off doing 101 mph in a video earlier today. The Infractions (truck) is RTR at $599 and does 80 MPH out the box. Long story short, you just get more per dollar with Arrma.
P8ntballa finally, someone who isn't a fanboy! Personally, I will never own an Arrma again, but even I can admit that they are coming out with some nice looking bodies.

The only thing I'd improve on the XO1 is adding bracing (and possibly the clip-less mounting system) to the body. The tires work when you put heat in them.

Hoping Traxxas doesn't bring a lawsuit, because the Arrma shocks look like there mounted just like the Traxxas with two bolts in the upright position. Hopefully not. Lol.
Still luv the traxxas. Not really nothing to compare x0-1 been out for years arrma is new model. If traxxas come out with a new speed car it will be a beast
I would have to say the plastic is better for the parts because it’s lighter and easy to replace when working on the car🤷🏽♂️ metal bends, plastic molds
Plastic good but for the chassis of the cars it would be better If its metal like on the arrma because it adds rigidity and stability because of the added weight under the car
Is way better than the XO one you can't even drive the XO 1 for real did they slide all over the place, you have to do a lot of setting up and have assistance working to even drive the car, if you just take it out the box and put batteries in it and try to drive it you can't get over 30 without it sliding out
Marvin's RC world then upgrade your tires, aerodynamics, suspension, weight distribution, or any number of other aspects. Tinkering and learning what improves the vehicle is a major part of the hobby. Nothing is ever "perfect" right out of the box, because different people have different views of what perfection is.
I have ordered myself an infraction, good review but I’d like to know more about the diffs, mainly access for the front and rear. Is it buried now or fairly accessible? I was also under the impression Arrma was running the BLX 185 esc in there.? Thanks bro 🏎🧰🚀👍🏻
I’m a truck guy! Arrma nailed it! what batteries will you be running? And what size is the speed pinion gear that comes with it? Very interesting tire composition....
You fogot give the price difference? Also with Traxxas you are paying for a lot of plastic such as the shocks, spur gear and battery trays are not very user friendly and after a period of time you have to use velcor or replace with stock trays and last it is not very forgiving on a slight crash the body is thin and must be supported on both ends or sides cause it will fold up.

Hey Jay just wanted to point out anytime i get a new helion MT i always know where i should go to get information and opinions from the Helion Invictus to the Helion Avenge10MT, thanks man!
I have an XO-1 and a Limitless and love both cars. The XO-1 gets a lot of bad press for some reason and it's not well deserved. Once set up with electronics, the Limitless is close to 3 pounds heavier than the XO-1, which is why it is a more stable car. The XO-1 requires about 2 and a half pounds of ballast to keep it on the ground at speeds over 75 mph. I run GRP S7 compound tires on my XO-1 and the car hooks up beautifully. The Arrma Felony and Infraction sell for around $650 where as the XO-1 sells for about $100 more. That extra hundred bucks is justified because the motor and speed control that comes with the XO-1 is way more powerful than the Arrma brushless systems. I agree, however, that Traxxas should update the XO-1. Give it inboard shocks and a full-width metal chassis and the XO-1 will be the car to beat again.
you do a video - Might be good to have the info on specs for BOTH RCs? The Xo1 has a Traxxas version of the Castle 1717 1580Kv motor. The ESC is a 120A Mamba Monster2. If you are comparing - it also might be a good idea to show them length wise side by side.
I own both, well owned, sold my xo1. Xo1 was cool and advanced when it came out, but having a limitless and infraction now I do not miss the x01. Stock for stock, I find the xo1 does not do well 80+, even with diffusers, just not as stable and planted as the arrmas... maybe a new x01 one of these days?
@@mtctookie25 yeah I love that chassis how and it's built, I am a big Arrma fan. Ive also owned the X0 1. Built wise id give it to the Infranction, no doubt. But I wouldnt call it an xo killer just yet since it's not faster than the xo 1 stock out the box

DocWolph comaring my Stampede (currently my favorite truck I've owned) to my supposedly similar Granite (the most infuriating RC I've ever owned), and the only good thing I have to say about the Granite is that it comes with steel axles (but doesn't make enough power to actually need them). This means that in my opinion (you are free to have your own) Traxxas made a better truck in 1994 than Arrma did in 2017. Arrma is less expensive for a reason!
Killing Time yooooo really, what if I like the colors but don’t like the giant Traxxas logo? What if I don’t want a single color with orange peel everywhere
Kade Lubensky never owned an xo-1, but on most other models, the logo is just a sticker, so peel it off. Also, orange peel doesn't happen if you know how to paint properly. In fact, you're supposed to chemically strip the existing paint and spray from the underside of the body, using the plastic above as a clear coat of sorts, so if you get orange peel, you painted the wrong side altogether.
Kade Lubensky you could also just get an entirely different body. I mean, tge ability to customize is at least half the reason for spending extra on hobby grade to begin with, right?
Good Comparison Arrma vs Traxxas Speed Runner's... Bottom line for most of us is the Price ... Bang for the Buck's...I do like the Truck look better..😎👍👍 HFLPRCing
Larry H. RMX RC PLAYPARK price and bang for the buck are two separate things. Price is only part of the equation when it comes to bang for the buck. Things usually end up cheaper because they are less durable, less reaserch put into design, less powerful, or any number of other reasons. Always remember, if the price seems to good to be true, it probably is.
Traxxas are just a lot of plastic = cheap built sale expensive. Traxxas are really expensive to own because once you buy it you basically have to upgrade just about every on that cheap plastic. The X maxx cost like $930, after all the upgrade it will run you somewhere from $3,000-$4,000 I own the X Maxx and the slash 4x4 so I know, no more traxxas for me. Going for Arrma should of, would of, could of, but new to this hobby and most rc in the internet are kind of dominate by traxxas so when I google for r/c car Traxxas are all over the net.
@@officialclownbusiness7788 they sued hpi out of buisness temporarily. Theyre back now but hpi have parts availability issues now thanks to traxxas...........
The Limitless is really the same car, just with a different body, no electronics and a center spool instead of a diff. So with the body off where the comparison counts the Infraction is the better because it comes with electronics.
comparing apple and oranges here. you can't compare these two vehicles. you can with the limitless and x01. Infraction is meant for skate park, drifting bash. X01 and limitless is meant for extremely boring ass speed passes...king motors 6s 1/7 rx2 V2 rally car would have bin a better comparison to the infraction. IMO

Kade Lubensky you could also just get an entirely different body. I mean, tge ability to customize is at least half the reason for spending extra on hobby grade to begin with, right?
New arrmas have mid motor front and the Traxxas has mid motor rear.
You guys have no idea how badly I want to get a Limitless, an OS 30VG, and some Savage or Mad Force driveline parts to go 70+ with a nitro. Hehe.
Wish they made xol 2 0 in like 1 5 scale
Not impressed at all. The X0-1 will cream this Arrma truck.
Testing coming of both
What's the price on those
599.00 for infraction 399.00 for limitless roller
@@michaelstewart3042 thanks brother
My X01 doing 170mph lol it’s unstoppable baby I’m going to try new arrma with my t.p motor let’s see wat will it do on 9s lol
Hey you should post a vid should love to see it I am working on a speed run my self
Xo-1 still the king almost a decade later
Traxxas is going to sue arrama for being better. They have already sued other brands😂😂😂
They sued hpi basically ot of business
@@Glibzer yes, they are also super overpriced!
Johnovan Dupper they would have to win the lawsuit in order to sue other brands out of business, let that sink in.
@@officialclownbusiness7788 they sued hpi out of buisness temporarily. Theyre back now but hpi have parts availability issues now thanks to traxxas...........
Johnovan Dupper maybe they shouldn't have copied Traxxas then.
i thought the limitless would be more of a comparison to the XO 1
The Limitless is really the same car, just with a different body, no electronics and a center spool instead of a diff. So with the body off where the comparison counts the Infraction is the better because it comes with electronics.
there is no stock rc car to beat the x-01, that's a fact !
I want to know price comparison. I want that hoonigan truck.
599
comparing apple and oranges here. you can't compare these two vehicles. you can with the limitless and x01. Infraction is meant for skate park, drifting bash. X01 and limitless is meant for extremely boring ass speed passes...king motors 6s 1/7 rx2 V2 rally car would have bin a better comparison to the infraction. IMO
Yo arrma copy traxxes xo1 body but both look good I’m building my x and xmaxx fully aluminum and racing parts two is hard as shit but both are looking bad as hell
My guy at hobby town didn’t even know Arrma was releasing new products.. smh Minnesota is rough sometimes
Race them!! See which one is better
Where is the financial aid department in the hobby shop for us broke folk?!
What’s the price doh
