I would have to say no, being as the jury pool was limited to Manhattan and that is one of the darkest blue districts in the US.
There are still *tens of thousands* of republicans in that district to choose from.

Actually, outside of New York City the state itself is conservative. Technically the trial could be held anywhere in New York State but they held it in the most liberal place in the state.
Having said that, prosecutors place these kinds of games all the time to get convictions where they might not otherwise get them. So the trial won’t be fair, but what’s new?

However, there are no SoLs on contempt of court so it could be done albeit it would not look proper and would be unprecedented. The democrats really don't want to set any unprecedented actions in this case.

I had an issue when i was young was given a ticket in town at a bar but the cop and I had history and that cop pushed for a unfair sentence so the public defender put in for a change in venue to the neighboring town and the new judge looked at the cop and said " dont you think thats to harsh" and so he gave me a lesser fine it was a joke had i stayed in hoboken I would have been screwed for having an open container on the street . the man cant get a fair trial .

I listen to Salam often. Great points were made from him. However, when we're discussing application of laws, it's important to keep in mind that there are laws on the books for a reason, and when we choose to allow external forces, such as politics, interfere with the application of those laws, we risk erosion of confidence and public trust in the judicial system. Attorney generals and people in position with the authority to bring charges against citizens are instruments of the institutions they serve. Ideally, they should mitigate against cherry-picking legal applications based on the severity of the charges and instead champion application of the law as though all laws are equal in importance.

Just because Trump is biased and incapable of making logical/fair decisions, does not mean everyone is like that. All the jury needs to do is be able to rationalize/explain their decision (whatever they decide). If any one juror does not possess that capability, they should have been dismissed.
