And not only that, both of them having the best archon quest and story quest. Both of them are really well written characters.

I think it's because Nahida always thinks both ways like if she were to refute by saying something else NOW then the percentage of wanderer getting annoyed would be higher thus adding back a gap between them, then saying things like that in front of traveler would also increase the percentage of the first point since it gives an opening for wanderer to think that she does being nice to him only for a greater ulterior motives (like for traveler and paimon to think nice of her etc)
