John Cale in VPRO Onrust! (1989)

In response to the movie "Words for the dying" a portrait of the
American composer, singer and co-leader of the Velvet
Underground John Cale. With short excerpts from this film, Cale with the band Velvet Underground, as a solo artist and with Brian Eno in Russia, ao with the pop group Brigade from Moscow.
Solo performance: Cale on piano with "I keep a close watch" and "Fear is a man's best friend".
Fragments and performances are interspersed with a short interview with Cale about his lyrics.
