    • @claytoniusdoesthings9598
      @claytoniusdoesthings9598 Год назад +32

      In reality, this problem was seen in the design phase (the possibility of a shot to the fuel tank resulting in an explosion or puncture), and so the fuel tank is armored. At worst he'd get is a leak, which is still bad. If the leaked fuel reaches a flame source, he's screwed. And lastly, the range of flamethrowers is greatly reduced in media. Imagine a high-pressure water hose, except the liquid you are spraying is on fire. *THATS* what a real flamethrower is like.

    Does anyone know.. which character is the one who spits the Rosary/Cross out of his mouth? (at 3:22) ???
    idk why, but i like that they kept that {subtlety} in the film.
    He's my favorite, though Doss is the hero
    it definitely echoes the part where Smitty says,
    "if the enemy comes at you, what are you gonna do? Hit him with your Bible?"
    Gibson also does a good job at displaying {through the various forms of blood, intestines, and decaying bodies} what the American Soldiers are up against, before they even SEE their enemies
