We want more of this series Reynard!
Thank you so much for featuring my room and I really love your design! Never would I have thought of this solution. This is super helpful! - Shao
I'm also moving to Munich soon into a studio apartment with a very similar shape, honestly just going to shamelessly copy the suggested design for yours haha
The renders really help understand the concepts talked about in this video. Got some great inspo, thanks :)
We can't choose a favorite, all of the renderings were amazing! 😍
Thank you SO much. Most people still don’t understand the word small.
Cheers!
Also mate you are the best Chanel on interior decor ever.
Also your voice is very relaxing and while you help learn what i enjoy on interio space and decorate my office (not at home the professional one on my work) you also give me ideas for my own space especially since a move out is on my near future.
Thank you man truly!
I wish you worked in Europe too!
I would love to see a video with the topic of designing a living room without a TV (and also without a fireplace). ☺️
The problem with the Chicago entryway design is that through winter we use boots almost every day and there are not too many options for boots storage for families.
Agreed. The open bench was the best idea to handle that. Would need to add a tray underneath to catch the drips. To conceal the boots, one might be able to add dark curtains or maybe some short bead curtains hanging from the bench, which would allow for airflow while blocking the view of the boots.
Exactly
I use a white 80” tall and narrow bookcase with doors.
I wish I saw these videos back when I had my studio apartment! Now I need advice on a house!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these design dilemma episodes!!! Always learn so much from you Reynard! Thank you! Xo from Canada ❤️
The last one can also add more colour by adding an area rug in the seating area.
This is my favorite design series on RUclips 😊😍 Thank you, Reynard, for your videos and ideas! The renderings were also very beautiful to see
Another option from the bench in the kitchen is a stepping stole/stepping ladder whatever the two step thing from ikea is called, as it is a multipurpose tool for also reaching the high shelves in the kitchen.
Ohh yes this is great! The Ikea bekvam is a good one.
The piano needs to be away from the window, and definitely out of the sun. Otherwise, it could warp the soundboard. Exposure to cycles of heat and cool will also cause it to go out of tune and need retuning quite often. I understand the desire to open up the space and allow more light, but the instrument needs to take priority in this layout.
Thank you for this helpful video. I d just like to mention that I personally hate the office facing the wall and I d like to see more ideas on how this can be avoided, especially in small rooms or when having an office in the living - dining room.
In bigger space you can definitely have the desk facing inwards, but it requires more clearance and proper cable management (i.e having floor power outlets).
Otherwise, if desk is slim and no bulky monitor, a nice one behind the sofa can be nice (so it's facing the same way as when seated on the sofa).
Great idea thanks ❤❤❤
ALL, as in every single design solution, are very well thought out, and I couldn't see even one "mistake". Thanks, Reynard.
One thing most designers preach is to never use those paper lanterns. They do rip very easily and they are not cheap. I ripped mine dusting with a swifter. But I have to say, that is the perfect thing for that room.
Oh my word! These problems are so relatable. Thanks for the advice.
Thank you for making these, a lot of thought and effort has been put in. It would be nice to see photo of the irl afters, especially the entryway. I would love to see this series continue. Please include one with narrow alcoves, I have two in my bedroom making it hard to know if it's possible to make use of them.
Please do more of these!
This is a great video koncept!
Well thought out and planned! Really enjoyed your explanations paired with each solution.
so many good ideas I can learn from from just one video thank you 🙏
Beautiful understanding of the subject
Hi Reynard,
I've been watching your videos for a few weeks and appreciate all the advice you give.
I'm prospective home buyer and while looking at apartments online I often think about how I could improve the interiors if I were to buy.
Recently I've gotten in touch with a real etate agent for a small 1 bedroom apartment. The bedroom itself seems well proportioned and deocorated, but I can't say the same about the kitchen/living area. The room is long and narrow, and the kitchen seems placed in an odd position, leaving the dining table abandoned in the corner of the room. I would
The room is a rectangular 10-12 sqm, has a casement window on the long side, a single wall kitchen under the window and a dining table along the opposite wall. Is is by no means crammed or impractical, but it feels as though space isn't being maximized and overall feels cold and incoherent with the rest of the apartment.
If you can spare the time and have the interest, I would really really really apprecaite if you could take a look and give some suggestions. Of course, I can provide more details and pictures.
Thank you
Thank you
Very helpful video. Thank you😊
Love this!
I really like the simple artworks on the walls in the renders. Where can I buy them? :)
Really great tips and solutions! The artworks you suggested are real bangers! Also, these camera angles, he-he. I hope you'll be able to launch some online courses in the future, I'm sure people will be happy to hop on these!! Great video :-)
Great video! 😊
A note for people who are serious cooks, hanging a coat near the kitchen space would increase the chance of the coat absorbing the smells from cooking. In these cases, I would keep coats out of the room, except maybe for guests.
Great solutions presented. Wish you could tackle my frenetic bedroom with so little usable wallspace for the bed.
Reynard your videos are awesome, I’m going to ask if you would please do a video on a topic I’ve never seen on any decorating channel - how to decorate rooms with radiators! I have a Victorian flat with a radiator in every room and they’re never in a good place! I don’t know if it’s ok to hide the radiator behind drapes, is it ok to cover the radiator, should I just have it painted the same colour as the wall, can I move them. I have many questions and you always give sound advice - here’s hoping!
Ohh I have this in the pipeline, although not just on radiator, but also other "ugly" things around the house like wires and stuff.
@@reynardlowell thanks … best ways to hide a big screen TV when not viewing it is another huge topic. TV lifts are my preferred solution ..
When are we getting part two? Cause I need it! What happened the other motel? I believe it was 1 level on the east coast....
Great tips and ideas! I saw a segment on a morning show where the interior decorator said that throw pillows should be in threes and that there should be a floral or geometric pillow, a striped pillow and then a solid pillow. Have you heard of this?
Yeah it's not a hard rule (there's many of them around pillows) - but one thing they all have in common is usually: 1. Multiple pillows in different sizes; 2. Contrast (colour, pattern, material, etc).
They all look amazing! Which program did you use to design this?
0:01 what is that mountain artwork product link in the backdrop?
Hi, where did u buy the table lamp?
Love your channel and this video Reynard! May I ask where that portable room divider at 12:23 is from?
There you go framacph.com/collections/room-dividers (very expensive tho 😬)
Please include domensions. It's hard to grasp distances on video. Small and large are so subjective.
Thanks ! I never skip a video.
❤🇦🇺👍
🤍😀👏
5:0 never mirror in a real cooking kitchen. No, also to a coat hanging in the kitchen. Sorry. No.
Why won't you learn to do your own 3D-models?
